Who is House of Toast?

We are a collective of folks who run the House of Toast room party at CONvergence, a science fiction/fantasy convention in Bloomington, MN. We've been slinging toast with over 100 various toppings (both ordinary and strange) for the masses at CON for 12 years.

In the past, we have funded our party primarily with money from our contributing core group of volunteers, supplemented by tips from our awesome party guests. This year, we really want to take steps to improve the flow of the line, and take our party to the next level! So we need YOUR help.

What We Need

What we will be using this fundraising money for:

• Our main goal for the fundraiser is a new belt-drive toaster to make toasting faster and more efficient, thus getting you toast more quickly. The model which we have picked will be around $600 plus shipping.

• Our main fundraising goal is to raise enough money to purchase the toaster, Anything over that first goal, we will put towards future HoT room party improvements -- purchasing wall panels for faster setup, a second digital toppings menu board, improved topping stations, a washing station, etc. If we exceed our $1700 goal, we will also level up our incentives by adding new, shiny rewards to those who donate! Some improvements will have to wait until 2015 to implement, but we want to get as many in this year as we can.

What You Get

All incentives can be shipped or picked up from Noon-3pm on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday of the convention. Please indicate which you would prefer during the checkout process. If you are an international supporter, please add $5 to your donation for shipping.

Awesome incentives!

• All donors will have their name printed on our “Toaster of Fame”, to commemorate your fabulous support of House of Toast. If you don’t want your name on the Toaster, please let us know.

• All donors at $5 and above will get a fabulous "Piece of Toast" badge ribbon to adorn your CON badge! 

• $15 donors get an orange “House of Toast” lanyard to proudly display their CON badge.

• $30 donors will get a tan "House of Toast" t-shirt, printed with our logo.

             Curvy, tight cut sizes available: S-2XL (aka “women’s” cut)

             Standard t-shirt cut sizes available: S-4XL. (aka “men’s” cut)

• If a t-shirt is not your style, for $30 you could get a stylish polar fleece toast hat! (limit 8)

• $40 donors receive a fabulous handmade, collectible +1 Toaster Pin of Awesomeness. What does it give you +1 of? Why, an extra topping of course! (limit 15)

• $50 donors get our +1 Pin of Awesomeness that LIGHTS UP with a red LED! (limit 15)

• $100+ donors will get 2 badge ribbons, their picture or likeness on one of our advertisement posters and get to pick 2 of these incentives packs:

• 2 toaster pins

• 2 lanyards

• 2 t-shirts

• or 2 fleece hats

• Donors $100 and above plus one guest are cordially invited to one of our private donor parties at House of Toast: Thursday July 3rd or Friday July 4th at 5:45pm-6:45pm. We will make you all the toast you want, you'll get to try SUPER SPECIAL toppings that will only be available to donors, and we won’t limit your toppings! (Limit 20)
