Logline
When an amateur film crew–seeking to film a zombie short in the barren woods–finds that they're not alone, they must battle internal morals to survive the night, and the unspeakable truths that lie ahead of them. This is a film which harkens on the cliches of classical horrors, with a mix of dark comedy and a heart-wrenching concept that blurs the line between fact and fiction.
What We Need & What You Get
To film "Hungryland," we used donations raised from friends, family, and colleagues, while the majority came from personal funds. Now we have completed production and the rough cut, but want to end things right, and most smoothly.
- We need to raise $1,000 in order to ensure that the final piece is more than just an independent film, and rather, a unique, magnificent piece
- The funds will go directly towards working with a professional editor, for color grading and to make final tweaks to the rough cut.
- Funds will also be allocated for score composition because as we all know, the score is just as important to fulfilling the somatosensory experience of the film.
The Impact
Where will this film be going? We plan to fulfill our promise to submit to a number of film festivals, horror festivals, and shorts competitions, in addition to attending the American Film Market. From there, if all goes well, then you may need to get the popcorn ready and head to the theater!
