On January 25 I was in an accident at work, I am an event security guard, and while trying to carry someone out of a dangerous situation, we fell backwards when a photographer in the pit got in the way causing me to fall. As we fell I attempted to save the patron from plunging head first into the concrete, though by doing this I ended up taking the impact of both the patron and myself, having the guest land on the outside of my left knee slamming the inside directly into the concrete floor. I sustained a few injuries, unfortunately all in my left knee:
-Posterior horn medial meniscal tear.
-Grade 1 medial collateral ligament sprain.
-Suprapatellar joint effusion.
-Distal quadriceps tedonopathy.
-Tricompartmental joint space narrowing with articular chondrosis.
So now I will be out of work for months between physical therapy and the surgery that they are planning for me. I have already missed a month of work, and have burned through the little savings I do have. I see my bills stacking up and find myself falling further and further behind in child support.(which for anyone who pays knows when your out of work builds quick.)
I began creating liquor bottle lamps, and hanging liquor bottle candle lanterns, all to try to create a substitute income, but I am limited by my mobility, as well as funds for supply's.
I will Use the funds raised to help me catch up with bills, rent, food which is getting harder to afford, and to keep my new buisness I've made going, so I may build on your generosity, and be able to provide once again for my family.
So thank you again, no donation is too small, or unappreciated. If just everyone who uses this site donated a dollar, the changes that you could all effect in my life could be immeasurable.
