Stories by comedic women. Stories about Mental Health. Spooky Emotional Stories. "I Feel Funny" is a comedy show about EMOTIONS. Through sketch comedy and short vignettes, we bring light-heartedness into the feelings that weigh on us most. Yup, we got 99 problems, but a joke ain't one. Who are WE?

Yes. We're all women. From different backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, races, persuasions, experiences. We all hurt and we all laugh, and we wrote about it. Together. We made something really fun from our pain and invite you to join our creative venture. Our investors elevate our stories, and we thank you!

We are writing something we've never seen before. We are funding these new stories. We're inviting investors on the ground-level because we want to connect beyond our network. And even possibly create beyond our net worth. With .99 cents from a larger community, we can do a lot.
We're asking for:
-$5 from 400 people
-OR $1,000 from 2 people
-OR $1 from 2,000 people
These funds will help with basic costs for hiring DPs (directors of photography) and editors. We built this project from the ground up, using our resources, and as we branch out, we want to recruit and reward strong talent.
DPs alone can cost up $1,500 to film 9 short sketches
Editors range from $500-1000.
This doesn't include costs for props, costumes, our own time, or paying actors and production assistants (which would be a dream). We are filling the gaps and serving in many of these roles as we produce. We have a team of over 12 people volunteering their time to make this project happen. Because we find the work to be important and valuable.

More to Gain: The NYC Women's Fund
2k helps us hire women and other PoC to film, edit & produce our scripts for submission to the NYC Women's Fund. With a solid application, we are eligible for up to 20k in grant funding. But we're only asking for 2k for our submission. We are not waiting on grant money to make our show. We've already begun.
We've been meeting and writing sketches since May. We're filming every weekend in September. We edit in October. "I Feel Funny" premieres October 31st at the Magnet Theater in NYC (at 7pm).
