ICARUS FILM
ICARUS is going to be a 12 minutes drama set in London, England.
A story about a workaholic illustrator who must reassess his priorities in order to make his peace with his lifelong condition - multiple sclerosis. He has no idea how challenging it is going to be. - Multiple Sclerosis.
Our protagonist, Ludwig, checks in hospital’s emergency department with an unbearable pain in his right shoulder. After many tests, he finds out that he has Multiple Sclerosis. Horrified with what future may bring he decides to keep that news to himself and to carry on his work. He has no idea how challenging it is going to be.
WHAT WE NEED&WHAT YOU GET
- We will need £3,500 in order to make our film as realistic as possible and bring the story and our characters alive. This includes: renting the locations, furnishing & decorating our sets and costumes. Apart from that, we will also need to rent specific camera equipment and lights in order to make our film compelling both visually and artistically.
- Apart from these, we need to feed our cast and crew during those long working hours on set and in front of the camera and also be able to transport them from one location to another, so part of our budget is dedicated to catering, as well as transportation.
- As a 'Thank You' to you for all the generous contributions, we are offering some amazing perks in return such as digital and physical copies of the film, exclusive behind the scenes material, signed movie posters, original art work straight from the set and executive producer credit together with sponsor banners.
- Even if we won't reach our goal, any contribution will bring the production a step closer to make this short film happen and we are sure that we would still be able to create a compelling narrative to tell Ludwig's stimulating story.
OUR AIM
The film stands to show that while it's important to have a true passion and to fight for dreams and career one should not build their identity and a meaning of life on it as it can be fragile. With Ludwig’s story we want to broaden the awareness of Multiple Sclerosis that affects more than 100,000 people in the UK, and support those who still struggle with accepting their lifelong condition and who are afraid of being stigmatized.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP
We understand that sometimes it's not easy to contribute, but it doesn't mean that you can't help us in reaching our target and making Icarus a success.
You can help us spead a word about our campign by sharing a link on your Facebook or with your family and friends. This way, we will get more people interested in the project. It would mean a lot to us.
