A Little Background

• Onychomycosis is a progressive fungal infection that affects the nails.  Toenails are affected more often than fingernails because the fungus that causes this disease thrive in a dark, warm, moist environment that is most often found in our shoes. This condition is the most common cause of discoloration, thickness, and deformities.  An infected nail can initially appear yellow, white, or green in some areas.  If left untreated, the entire nail may eventually become discolored, thick, and crumbly.
• Current treatments include: applying mildly effective topical solutions, taking oral medications that may be toxic to the body, or undergoing costly laser treatments  at your doctor's office.

Our Product

• The IllumiNail device is a self contained, rechargeable "clip" that emits a blue light aimed specifically at your toes.  Simply apply the device to the toe you want to treat, push the button on the device and let it do the  rest.  It runs through a treatment cycle, then shuts off automatically.  Put device on the next toe and repeat until all affected toes are treated.  It's that easy!

• The funding we obtain will be used to pay for a clinical study using you, the average end user, as the beta tester!  We are ready to move into the final stages of testing and need  a large population to demonstrate its effectiveness.  We will provide you access to the product (one IllumiNail device with charger), and access to a  web page for you to share your thoughts with us, and the ability to upload anonymous photos of your progress.
