IMHERO- Charity for the East Coast flood victim
Ever since the East Coast flood occurred, 237,000 people have been displaced to evacuation centres throughout Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Perak and Johor. There were a total of 21 death tolls reported and an estimation of RM 1 Billion to rebuild the flood affected areas. Communication services has been cut off, shortage of food and water supply; rescue efforts were interfered by power outages; and roads that have been washed away by the floods. In light of this issue, the #IMHERO campaign sees the need in continuous support for the victims of the East Coast flood in Malaysia.
#IMHERO would like to give back to the community and help those in need during times of distraught and despair. As so, the launch of “IM HERO” campaign happened in collaboration with Malaysian Red Crescent to raise funds to save and rebuild homes especially in Kelantan, Kuala Krai. Supporting this campaign would also be Loh Sea Keong, Malaysia’s professional Cyclist. Loh’s house in Kuala Krai was submerged more than 20 feet during the peak of flood.
This campaign is comprised of four team members. Spearheading the campaign would Frank Voon, following by Alexander Koh, Lee Shermaine & Shauna Joan.
