The Story:
The film follows Imogen, a high school dropout who loves punk music, shoplifts, hangs out at skate parks -- and has one week to find the money to get out of town. With the help of her younger brother Quinn, she plans a record store heist to swipe and sell an invaluable record signed by her musical idols, the “Punk 5.”
“Imogen” is a senior thesis film from co-directing duo Sophie Flemings and Christopher Weingart. Along with a fantastic team of creative filmmakers, we are ready to make this film a reality!
The Campaign:
We are fundraising $4,000 to support the making of “Imogen.” This money will go to these items:
- Props & Set Decorations
- Locations
- Food & Coffee
- Transportation
Filmmaking is collaborative creative experience and we want you to be a part of it, so we have provided some awesome perks for your generous donations to our campaign!
Why this Short Film?
“Imogen” is about outgrowing a hometown and leaving people behind. The film explores the reality that although loved ones are often separated by their circumstances, they don’t love one another any less.
As we approach our graduation, “Imogen” is a love letter to now.
The Challenges Ahead:
We’ve become really good at making movies on a dime, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges.
The most expensive are:
- We have to pay to film in a record store and decorate it with original branding.
- To have skateboarding in a film, certain safety precautions have to be taken. We want to provide the best set experience for our cast and crew.
Thank You!
