All throughout our society, women are at risk of violence. It happens constantly: somewhere on the streets, in their own homes. The statistics are, by any measure, shocking. One in three women will experience physical or sexual violence at one point. New legislation and outreach efforts have seemed helpless to make a real impact. It isn't only physical violence, either. Emotional attacks and emotional suffering are even more common, affecting two out of every three battered women and as much as 84% of all victims.

We are talking about millions and millions of women. You see them every day. The odds are good, in fact, that you yourself have been a victim of the violence, the destruction, the abuse. Unfortunately, this problem is persistent because it is so complex. Social ties, familial ties, and cultural norms have created a solid foundation for it, leading to poor response times and a low priority on tools like rape kits. The result is that our world is unsafe for women.

Still, we know that solutions are possible. We see it in people helping one another, people listening, people standing up for what is right: community is the answer. Through community, we can leave behind the outdated and ineffective initiatives of the past. We can choose to move into something different – and in turn, to move into something safer and better. It is up to all of us to bring this to life, championing the type of world that we all know is possible.

How It Works

 There are two processes that ImSafeNow follows, depending on the type of help that you need.

• For physical danger, you sync your ImSafeNow, connect it to the smart wearable device (as soon as you get it), click the distress button, send out an alert signal, and communicate your location.
• For emotional support, on the other hand, you log in and connect, find someone who can counsel you, and get the relief you need.
• In near future, through AI we will be proactively guiding you for your better safety.

In both cases, quick notifications reduce the lag time you would have experienced otherwise. It all happens via the ImSafeNow wearable device, which is small and compact enough to take with you everywhere you go but also powerfully reliable because of its Bluetooth integration.

Yes, that's all it takes. Double click a button and ImSafeNow places a distress call, automatically relaying you to the next available helper. Our solution addresses emotional trauma as well as physical violence, even connecting you with someone to talk to if necessary, selected from our wide network of certified counselors.

Work to Date

In development since 2019, ImSafeNow is a cutting-edge tool engineered to keep you and the people you love safe and healthy in the long term. We are running pilot programs in both US and Indian universities. Once we complete those, we will be able to proceed into general distribution. We will use Amazon Web Services to scale our system and to extend our reach, we are setting up a buy-one/donate-one drive. In the future, we also see applications of ImSafeNow to areas like senior safety, employee safety, children's safety, and rescue situations like car accidents.

For now, our focus is on getting ImSafeNow to you.

Risks & Challenges

Because of the extensive resources that we have invested in development already, we will be able to send out ImSafeNow Gen 1 wearables in a timely manner once we complete this campaign. Delays during distribution are always possible, of course. Whatever happens, you can count on us to remain transparent throughout this process. In fact, if you so choose, we would like to send you Gen 2 as soon as we can manufacture. One way or another, we are going to make this happen. We believe in the impact that we can make through this.
