Short Summary

'In The Hallways' tells the story of a group of high schoolers whose common troubles include graduation and the upcoming Prom, but when a shooting happens at their school, their new focus' are PTSD and survivor's guilt.

While there are several school shooting films that exist, this film specifically is written and produced by the generation that learned how to behave in an active-shooter drill before they learned how to tie their shoes.

The Cast

Isaac Hayman - Calix

Isaac Hayman, born and raised in Indiana, is an artist and actor currently residing in New York City. Growing up, literature and cinema greatly shaped his adolescent life. Writers such as Albert Camus and Jack Kerouac had a great impact upon his understanding of the written word; and actors such as James Dean, Philip Seymour Hoffman, River Phoenix, and Marlon Brando illustrated that the thoughts and feelings behind the written word didn’t need to live solely upon the page. Isaac has amassed a multitude of credits both in film and on the stage. He appeared in the Off-Broadway production of Royal Oak, and most recently starred in Columbia University’s Root Rot. He has also starred in numerous short films such as North to the Future, Bury Me in Red, It Was All Mine, and Beautiful Depravity.

Johnny Rabe - Anthony

Johnny Rabe has performed across the country as an actor, musician, and cabaret artist. His work in regional theater has taken him to The Marriott Theatre, Paramount Theatre, and Drury Lane Theatre in Chicagoland and to The 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle. He was a member of the first national tour of A Christmas Story, the Musical and went on to originate the role of Ralphie in the Broadway premiere of the show. Johnny is a graduate of the Chicago Academy for the Arts and Stanford University, where he studied Music, Theatre, and International Relations.

Emily Agresta - Nia

Emily Agresta is an actress from River Edge, NJ. She’s currently a senior Theater Arts: Acting major at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Emily was most recently seen on stage as Lysistrata in FDU’s fall production of Lysistrata. She has previously worked on film sets such as SNL, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and City on Fire. Emily is thankful to be apart of this film and can’t wait to bring its magic to life.

G Parlapiano - Hazel

G Parlapiano is excited to be apart of their first on screen project with “In The Hallways”. They are passionate about the message it shares and hope it resonates with those who watch it. They’ve mostly experienced traditional theater acting so far in their career, but nowadays they more commonly express themself through performing in drag, performing with the Rocky Horror Troupe “Ordinary Kids NJ” or performing their own original music.

Funding

Filming is expensive, and in order to tell the story with the quality it deserves, we need your help. Funding for 'In The Hallways' will go towards cast and crew expenses, location costs, props, and so much more.

The Impact

So many students, too many, have gone through a school shooting. The fear and anxiety in those moments is something you never forget. While we would never wish it on our worst enemy, we know that many people will never understand the true disease gun violence has become until they can see and understand exactly what that fear is. Our film is giving those people a glimpse into what students have gone through in an effort to bring attention and understanding to the ignorant.
