Did you know the internet uses 300 billions watts of the worlds energy and emits 260,000 kg of CO2 pollution yearly, and uses more energy than the entire global AUTO industry?
Around 40% of the world population has an internet connection today. In 1995, it was less than 1%.The number of internet users has increased tenfold from 1999 to 2013. The first billion was reached in 2005. The second billion in 2010. The third billion will be reached by the end of 2014.
The unstoppable demand for information in motion with a click of the mouse or touch on a smart device is consuming the world's energy supplies at a staggering rate. While the world has turned its attention to green or clean energy, the online digital industry is hiding a dirty secret, and no authority in the world is taking the lead in bringing the industry to account.
Power is needed to keep the internet going at break neck speed around the clock from every corner of the globe.
The virtual world and the cloud is light years from being green or clean. There are more than 3 million data centres around the world as physical infrastructures such as power stations, electricity grids, buildings stacked with back-up generators and lead-acid batteries, which consumes 30 billion watts or electricity per year. This is equivalent to 30 nuclear power plants.
Why is there such demand for power on the internet?
With our lives increasingly online from banking, shopping, dating, travel, entertainment, social interaction, communicating, sharing photos, education, searching for goods and services etc. our current technology and infrastructure will not cope to sustain the massive demand into the future.
As the online population is racing upwards video streaming and video conferencing is driving internet traffic, how we manage customer usage thresholds, power resources and infrastructure capability is crucial for the digital revolution.

So what are the challenges?
- There is no such thing as the 'cloud'. It is not an imaginery white fluffy thing floating in the sky. Online information and data has to be stored somewhere. The internet is a physical thing consuming 2% of the world's energy and emits 260,000 kg of CO2 pollution yearly.
- Video streaming and video conferencing is the fastest growth area in internet traffic requiring higher bandwidth as the demand for data streaming increases.
- By 2016 smart devices will outnumber the world's population predicted to be 10 billion.
- Clogging of the internet or Contention will dramatically increase causing lost time, less productivity and increased costs as the infrastructure to deliver the internet is fixed.
- Massive drain on energy resources. Passing streaming data NOT only uses energy; the steamed data itself IS energy. Globally the internet uses 300 billion watts of energy per year. so as the internet consumes more of our energy resources, so will the price of electricity soar.
Used International bandwidth
As you can see in the chart below, international bandwidth availability has soared ("used bandwidth" refers to the capacity deployed by providers, rather than bandwidth consumed by end users). From 1.4 terabits per second in 2002, it steadily climbed to 6.7 terabits in 2006 and has now reached 92.1 terabits per second. TeleGeography expects that number to hit 606.6 terabits per second in 2018 and 1,103.3 terabits per second in 2020. Jon Brodkin - May 2 2012, 2:40am AUSEST arc technica
So what is the solution to the internet explosion?
Internet Bandwidth reduction.
The engine room or core of the Internet has become streaming which is commonplace from smartphones, laptops, tablets and other computer devices.
With MVFU bandwidth reduction technology achieving up to 80% beyond compression reduction.
This technology is positioned to be very disruptive to the main players on the market such as Skype, YouTube, Sky and Commercial TV channels worldwide who are relying on exsiting compression technology.
The benefit to the environment is a reduction is dirty energy and lowering co2 pollution.
MVFU is a game changer and disruptive in nature. Benefit to users is saving time, energy and most importantly money!

For the “Beyond Compression” technology Intrak has not only undertaken a full development cycle for the technology, it has conducted an analysis on the demand & need for this technology.
HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND PROTECT OUR ENERGY RESOURCES
CONTRIBUTE NOW
The funds from our Intrak Australia's Crowdfunding Campaign will complete the further development required to roll-out the MVFU system to provide a clear need to improve the slow performance of the internet and reduce its high energy use. These development steps are:
1. To develop a Mac platform MVFU
software version (for Apple products)
2. To develop an Android platform
version (for Android products)
3. Once, we achieved the above
steps, we then will be able to develop APPS that will be available for all users to downloads on their own devices worldwide.
Our project time frame will allow us to achieve the above in 12 month time once we get the required development funding.
What we need and what is your reward
Intrak Australia Pty Ltd needs AUD $200,000 to commercialse the MVFU system.
To remain competitive on-going development is crucial to offer the most advanced software in bandwidth reduction technology.
Your support will fund the roll-out of the MVFU system to our broad range of target customers to allow everyone who uses the internet to SAVE MONEY.
You can support Intrak Australia by contributing AUD $25, $45, $100, $500 or $5000 through our Rewards based campaign.
YOUR REWARD FOR CONTRIBUTING

To show our appreciation in receiving support from the 'crowds' in enabling us to bring the MVFU system to benefit the world; Intrak Australia wishes to donate 10% of our funds raised to support a worthy community and their initiatives to develop young people's potential. 2realise is a registered Australian Charity and Not-for-Profit that works around the Northern and Northwestern suburbs of Sydney.
One of their initiatives is Industry Bites, a
program that provides young people with a snapshot into a particular industry
or organisation, educating them on the types of career paths within and the
requirements to reach these. In 2013, 389 students participated in this program
which has grown to include 14 companies such as Microsoft, McDonalds Head
Office and Johnson & Johnson.
What is the outcome if you do not raise sufficient funds to meet your goal?
Intrak Australia understands the significance of expediting this technology to the market now, if we do not meet our funding goal, there is lost opportunity for a global disruptive new technology on the market. Which we believe will save internet users time, energy and money. We believe the lost opportunity will be largely realised firstly in the Australian ecconomy, as this will have a negative effect on innovation and ecomonic development. The other lost opportunity is not protecting our current and future energy resources as globally the internet uses 300 billion watts of energy per year; and the environmental problem of global power used for search engines emitting 260,000kg of CO2 pollution yearly.
