About Iron Skies

Hi! I am Kristopher Rue, and I am a storyteller. I've spent my life crafting stories, and I have been published in the literary journal Pilcrow and Dagger. In 2009, I started writing the Iron Skies Chronicles for friends and family. I started to put pieces together and build a world, and quickly fell in love with the setting and characters. The chronicles were changed and adapted over the years as I distilled them for more impact.

One thing has never changed - I have always imagined Iron Skies as a visual medium. Thanks to my amazing team, I am able to realize that vision and bring you the epic I've been wanting to tell for a decade.

What We Need & What You Get

I have an awesome team that is putting out top quality work, but to keep that up I need your help! I have been able to personally fund a portion of the project, but Iron Skies is a huge endeavor, and the only way I can get the first issue made and in your hands is if we can hit our goal. Without you, the story ends here.

Stretch Goals

15K - Poster 2 unlocked

25K - Issue 2 unlocked

35K - Patch of the Iron Skies logo included with any of the signed copy tiers or higher

40K - Poster 3 unlocked

Unlocking issue 2 will net an approximately 80 page comic and can be told in 6 parts. If the page count sticks to right at 80, I can keep the floppy format. If it goes higher, it may need to come in graphic novel format (squarebound). The additional posters are only available with tiers containing the "Premium Poster Pack."

Risks & Challenges

This will be my first self published work, so it is possible that there will be obstacles along the way. The artwork does take some time - so there will be a delay if the stretch goals are met - however, I am confident that it will also give you the most "bang for your buck," and I will be keeping all backers updated as pages are done.
