WHAT IS IT'S WATCHING?
IT'S WATCHING is an original horror film from writer/director Anthony Cole. Based off his original feature film script of the same name which is currently doing the rounds with producer's in L.A and London, that aims to do bring something truly original to the horror genre, to create a horror film where the demon itself knows that it's in a film, and is the creative force behind the film itself.
"With this project our team is pooling over ten years of experience to conjure up a terrifying film that will combine a unique story-line reminiscent of films like Memento and The Shining with the 4th wall breaking, meta techniques of films like Deadpool. Think a man with no memory, possessed by a demon that is the creative force behind the film itself, subtly targeting the audience itself. We are committed to bringing revolution to the way audiences see "demons" in popular horror film culture." Anthony Cole

To innovate the horror genre.
We want to bring a fresh, innovative entry into the horror genre and take a cool, original concept and go crazy with it. The horror genre has become formulaic in the recent years and many entries rely on jump scares and stock characters, we want to change that, and it starts here. We intend to create It's Watching the short film and release it out to the world to showcase this concept and bring new scares and and a great story to the genre. The short film is based off of a feature film script that is already completed and took 6 months of full-time writing to complete, it has already scored in the top 2% based off several feature-script review services that it has been sent to, we were told by a prominent script-reader The Screenplay Mechanic that this script should be pursued into being produced no matter the cost.
We are starting this journey from pre-production to short film to feature film right here. We will not stop until our goal is achieved, if you enjoyed the video and are intrigued in the concept and would like to see more, both as a short film, and eventually as a feature film, then we have plenty of things to give back to you for your faith in us and contribution to the project.
Consider that our animated storyboard video is a very brief window into our concept and story-line, and was created with no-budget in a few hours, now imagine what we can do with a full team and set of resources behind us.

It's important to us that we do not spoil the film, whilst we have told you guys that the film has a demon that knows it's in a film, the story-line is left spoiler free and there are many twists and turns in the film.
Our story takes place in an isolated cabin that has become a gruesome scene of blood, gore and violence. A man suffering from amnesia finds himself trapped in here with no memory of previous events. He holds a crowbar in his bloodied and bruised hands as he's carving a message into a giant wall of carvings. He struggles to remember who he is or what he's doing, he knows that something terrible is in this cabin with him and is causing him immeasurable pain. He tells himself that he must kill himself now, in a fury of rage and pain, he swings the crowbar at his head, just before it hits him --
-- He's transported into a different location, the crowbar now vanished. His body is in the same position and his emotions are still high, except now he cannot remember a thing. He begins to explore this creepy, gruesome cabin, he cannot escape the boarded up windows or doors. He finds a series of gruesome horrific messages that have been carved into his own body that indicate a demon is somewhere and he must find a way to expel it. He explores further, he does he comes across a dead body. He listens to a voice-recording left by her, the voice recording explains that she is an exorcist and tried to exorcise a demon out of him but it went horribly wrong, she explains how it's wiping his memory and making him forget things as it bides it's time to re-possess him fully again. He must now find a way to exorcise the demon, or escape, before it takes him over again completely.

We are rewarding contributions to our campaign with an array of exciting perks and opportunities that are listed to the right-hand column of this page.
In tandem with these perks, funders will also receive priority access to exclusive content throughout the campaign: video-updates from the filmmakers, all patrons £25 and above will have an opportunity to participate in THE WALL OF CARVINGS project. In this project, if you send us an image with creepy carvings and messages we will include them on the wall of carvings in the film at our discretion. (as long as the carvings are creepy and stay within the lore and tone of the film, so unfortunately "no Hi Mum" or "Follow me on Twitter"s). We'll also send a digital photo of your specific part of the wall to every carving that has been featured.
Most significantly, for each £1,000 we raise, we will share a consecutive page of the script with all of our supporters, giving you an exclusive glimpse at the inciting incidents that begin IT'S WATCHING.

When will IT'S WATCHING be made?
We're on track to shoot this summer, and if you become a contributor, you'll receive more detailed updates via our FUNDER's mailing-list.
When will IT'S WATCHING be released?
We plan on playing the festival circuit in 2018, then releasing the film on VoD platforms in 2019, all of our funders will receive special links to watch the film before our festival launch, and a whole year before the rest of the world.
If the project doesn't reach it's funding goal, will IT'S WATCHING still get made?
Yes. Failing to reach our goal won't prevent us from making the film, as we will take what funding we have raised and launch another campaign to make up for the gap. We will still send all perks to our funders, any perks that require the film to be made like Producer credits, will still be valid, it just will take us longer to raise the funds.
If the project doesn't reach it's funding goal, do I get my money back?
No dice. We're doing a Flexible Campaign, so even if we fall short of our goal, we will nonetheless put whatever we raise towards our effects budget and you will get your perks.
When will the perks be delivered?
Each perk has it's rough delivery month listed and we'll do our utmost to get them to you right away.
Do the T-Shirts come in multiple sizes?
Yes. If you snag a T-shirt perk, we'll be sure to contact you to ascertain your t-shirt size.
What happens if you exceed your goal?
The goal we've set is actually the bare minimum we need to pull off what Anthony and the team have dreamt up. If we exceed our goal, it will afford us the opportunity to increase the scope and ambition of our effects, equipment, and potentially even permit us to add even more grotesque horrors to the isolated cabin of IT'S WATCHING .
You've passed a campaign milestone and I haven't received a script page yet? What gives?
E-mail us immediately at itswatchingcampaign@gmail.com and we will rectify the situation.
I put the wrong e-mail address on Indiegogo and I'm afraid I won't receive my perk. How do I fix that?
Have no fear! Please send an email to itswatchingcampaign@gmail.com and we will update your new e-mail address manually to our database.
How do I update my shipping address?
Send your new address to itswatchingcampaign@gmail.com and we will update our files accordingly.
I contributed and forgot to include the shipping cost! What can I do?
No problem! Click on the 'contribute now' button and add the additional amount and select 'no perk'. Thanks for catching that!
How will the funders be kept informed during and after the campaign?
We will be frequently updating our Indiegogo page, as well as our Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you've contributed to our campaign, also expect to receive e-mail updates that feature funder-exclusive web content.
Is the demon watching me right now?
Demon here... Yes, I am.
Then who's watching the demon?!
Probably the NSA. And you once the film is completed ;).
