We are excited to announce that we hit our preliminary goal of $2,000 on December 27, 2013 with 7 days left in our campaign!
Since the conference is still expected to cost $30,000 and we were notified that the cost of the banquet venue will be more than initially expected, we are still requesting donations. Thank you again for your contributions!
About
The Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association (ITASA) is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that connects, inspires, and empowers the Taiwanese American student community. ITASA's annual East Coast Conference has been successfully hosted at various universities since 1993. This conference attracts nearly 400 undergraduate students who are not only interested in Taiwanese culture but also active in their college communities. During these four days, students attend workshops led by prominent speakers, social events to meet other undergraduates, and a concluding celebratory banquet.
This year, the ITASA 2014 East Coast Conference is being held at Yale University from February 13-16. "Work in Progress" is ITASA 2014 ECC's theme, developed by Yale University's conference team. Building on the ideas of activism and service, our vision for our conference is that every attendee will leave Yale equipped with the knowledge, resources, skills, and relationships they will need to create positive change.
In order to make this conference possible, we need your support. The conference is estimated to cost around $30,000. The $2,000 Indiegogo goal is only a milestone we hope to surpass. Help us reach our fundraising goals by donating on Indiegogo. Donations of any size would be greatly appreciated. Your contributions will support our vision of empowering student leaders to become activists in their communities.
Why Donate?
Your generous support will provide enthusiastic and motivated undergraduates with the opportunity to attend this meaningful conference, connect with like-minded peers, and be inspired by leaders in the Taiwanese American community. Your money will directly be used for inviting speakers to our conference, booking venues for our workshops and banquets, as well as funding other necessary conference costs (pamphlets and flyers). The more money we raise, the cheaper the registration fees will be, allowing more students to attend this meaningful conference.
All donations are tax-deductible.
