+ How Vacuum Brewing Works
Traditional vacuum brewing is a method that uses a combination of heat and vacuum pressure to brew coffee. It involves two chambers—a lower chamber where water is heated, and an upper chamber where ground coffee is placed. As the water heats up, it rises to the upper chamber, mixes with the coffee grounds, and is then pulled back down to the lower chamber through the vacuum created, resulting in a flavorful and aromatic coffee extraction.

Our unique extraction process uses a double air pump to “Pull In” and “Push Out” the air in the sealed brewing chamber creating a vacuum.

Pressure Vacuum:
- The air pumps then shut off to allow the water to fully immerse the grounds for a full and even extraction.

Positive Pressure:
- This process repeats several times (depending on how much coffee is being brewed) to make sure the ideal extraction/water ratio is achieved.

+ How to Use The JavaStarr
- Fill the carafe or any vessel you want with the amount of water you want to brew.
- Turn on the heating function on the carafe, or make sure your water is just finished boiling

- While the water is brought to the perfect temp fill the brewing chamber with your favorite coffee and lock it to the rest of the brewing assembly with a twist.

- When the carafe’s heating cycle finishes, replace the top of the carafe with the brewing assembly and lock it with a twist

- Select your preferred strength and batch size from the icons on the control panel

- Sit back and watch the Java Starr work its magic.

When the brewing cycle is complete remove the brewing assembly, pour into your favorite mug of the Java Starr travel tumbler and enjoy your coffee just the way you like it!

Cold brew coffee without the wait
There are two ways to brew coffee with the Java Starr - with heat, or without. With our cold brewing process, you simply use room temperature or cool water. Select the Cold Brew button on the control panel and let the Java Starr do the rest!
