Hello, my name is Fred Blanco, and I’ve been a performer for over 30 years. From theater to stand-up comedy, improv and theme park entertainment, I’ve made a career out of performing and captivating audiences.
Lately, I’ve been drawn deeper into the world of magic—an art form I’ve admired since childhood. My new vision is to become a member of the Magic Castle, an internationally renowned hub for magicians. Membership would give me access to rare resources, a world-class library, and the chance to collaborate with some of the best minds in magic.

The Impact
At 55, I see this as a chance to explore and push the boundaries of what I can create as an entertainer. As an entertainer I create a variety of live performance experiences. Wildcat Jackson is the latest creation paying tribute to vaudeville and the variety arts. Wildcat is an old west showman of the highest order. And a flim flam artist of an even higher order. I've spent close to 12 years creating a character that is steeped in the variety arts. A rich American tradition in and of itself. I studied magic in depthly and embedded myself in the world of magic to create a rich and well rounded character. Being a member of the Castle is the final way to galvanize the many years that I spent to create a character of magic that I am very proud of. The Magic Castle isn’t just a destination for me—it’s a space where I can refine my craft even more. To learn from world-class magicians, and to weave new skills into my performances.
