My name is Albert and I'm an artist. When I was young, all I wanted to do was draw comicbooks. During college I got that chance, but I worked on books that weren't my own. In those days before computers and the internet boomed, aspiring comicbook artists looking to make a living were stuck doing other people's stories and books.
Now there's the internet, and imaging software, and digital DRAWING TOOLS! Now is an opportunity to draw and tell stories that I've always wanted to tell with an open and free distribution network that is the internet. All I need is the Intuos 5 Pen Tablet (http://www.wacom.com/en/products/intuos.aspx) I'm a capable artist and I've used an Intuos before though not my own. It allows me to draw digitally as if I were using traditional pen and ink.
I'm passionate about art and helping other artists. The Intuos 5 will help me communicate in the best way I know how...visually!
What I Need & What You Get
I need $500 to purchase the Intuos5. The actual cost is about $442 on Amazon at the moment but with Indiegogo fees the total cost brings it up to $500. As I stated earlier, this is a FIXED FUNDED campaign. So it's all or nothing, if I don't achieve my goal then you get your money back!
If I achieve my goal, the Intuos 5 will be my single most cherished art tool! I would be so ECSTATIC to create art everyday! If by chance I achieve MORE than my goal, I can either give you your money back or deliver on the appropriate perk you contributed through or reinvest that money into other Indiegogo projects that support art.
To all my campaign contributors you will be the recipient of the following perks (all of which will be created using the Intuos 5 pen tablet):
- $1 - UNIQUE SKETCH JUST FOR YOU! - This will be a digital line drawing. The subject matter will be up to my discretion but if you leave a note with your contribution, I may do something with it. The final product will be like a surprise ;)
- $10 - BASIC CARICATURE - This will be a black and white digital drawing of any one person of your choosing. I can work off photographs. (SIDENOTE: I was a caricature artist at Disney World and Disney World Resorts for 8 years, 1998-2006)
- $20 - BASIC COMMISSION - This will be a black and white professional level digital drawing of any one character.
- $50 - COLORED COMMISSION OR CARICATURE - One character or caricature in FULL COLOR digital art!
- $100 - FULL SCENE COLORED COMMISSION with MULTIPLE CHARACTERS/CARICATURES and ELABORATE BACKGROUND - This is a fully rendered and dynamically composed piece of digital art.
