My name is Kurt Ozinga, and I am a current student at the Motion Picture Institute of Troy, Michigan. I have studied Directing and Production, and have a great interest in both camera work and sound recording.
"Junebug" is a short screenplay I wish to direct by late August. It is a surreal, low key horror story about a serial killer who inexplicably transforms into each of his new victims, stealing both their appearances and memories. In doing so, he takes on many different mindsets and personalities.
I only work a part-time job, and with low hours and monthly payments, it will be impossible to fund this project on my own. I am asking for any help in realizing this vision - even $5 would mean so much to me. If I do not meet the goal set on this page, I will still use what money I have gained toward this film. Even if it is not enough to produce this film at all, I will hold it aside for this project until I have enough.
This film will be shown in the Emagine Theatre in Novi, Michigan in October, and will be submitted to film festivals around the country.
Most of the money donated here will go toward feeding my cast and crew, as it will be the most expensive part of production. Next, I will put donated money toward props, wardrobe, and make-up.
I understand those of you who do not have any spare change to contribute. I am often in the same boat. But if you still wish to help me on this project, you can share this page with whomever you know. To all of you reading this, thank you so much for giving me your time.
