In December 2018, Cassie and Lang attended a tech conference in Shenzhen, China, where they bonded over an awful experience where both of their phones were dying while they were on a touring cruise. After researching all the different power banks on the market, they realized there wasn't one single power bank that could meet all of their needs, so Lang and Cassie decided to "be the change they wanted to see in the world," and created the perfect solution for themselves and others.
