We need your support to Keep Word Vancouver Free for all attendees.

Our team thinks one of the best things about Word Vancouver is that all of the events are 100% free! Everyone can attend regardless of their financial situation. Keeping the festival inclusive and accessible is really important to us, and we're sure it matters to you too!

We work hard to keep the festival free. We receive outstanding support from the community and a variety of organizations and businesses. This support, along with government funding, is what enables us to deliver this successful event. But as production costs increase, funding levels do not. That's why we need your help.

Here's how you can show your support:

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to cover a portion of festival production costs. We invite you to make a meaningful contribution to a cultural event that promotes Vancouver's vibrant literary community and inspires passion for reading and writing. Please spread the word to all your circles using Indiegogo's share tools.

We’re offering awesome perks as a thank-you for your generous support. Make a donation of any amount you wish and claim the perk that applies to its dollar range:

Up to $19: Acknowledgment on the Word Vancouver website.

$20-$49: A book from the festival; and acknowledgment on the website.

$50-$99: A signed book from one of the authors reading at this year's festival; and acknowledgment on the website.

$500+: A mini Word Vancouver library of signed books; an author coming to your home for a private reading; access to the Performer Lounge for you and a friend; two festival t-shirts; one book bag; and acknowledgment on the website.

Please Note: All books are to be picked up at the festival on September 28, 2014 or at the festival office. Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt.
