Hello there,
Thanks for stopping by the crowdfunding page for my new studio album.
After the successful realization of my solo debut album 'Shotgun Seat DJ' (2016) and Ukes of Tomorrow’s ‘Seconds Of Our Lives’ (2022), thanks to your support, I am now launching a new project where I would like to ask for your support!
Kent Nielsen 'Too Many Train Rides’ - new studio album!
We have now finished recording my next solo album. Five of the new songs were written in collaboration with Stefan Kletetzka (More Songs about Sex, Ocean Eyes). The others were written with Helge Reich (Jam Today, R.I.P.), Torsten 'Totti' Scharfenberg (Ukes of Tomorrow, The Leroys), Nik 21 and Jens C. Möller. There are also five cover versions that we will not reveal yet.
Two songs were recorded by Nik 21 and one by Thorsten Luck. The rest was produced by Joszi Sorokowski (everyone from Bobby Byrd to Ukes of Tomorrow to Pressgang and many more) in his studio in Elmshorn. In addition to the co-writers mentioned above, there are also guest appearances by Ginger Wade and Luise Schitteck.
Album, Perks & Budget
The goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to find enough supporters for us to finance: mixing, mastering, artwork and the CD pressing.
And here comes the exciting part: We came up with a bunch of fun perks in return for your support. From a simple download version, signed CDs, to exclusive fan packages and intimate house concerts within your own four walls.

650,- // Mechanical royalties/Performing Rights Society for CDs pressed

Current state of affairs
All 15 songs have been recorded and are about to be mixed and mastered, hence we’ve gotten pretty far already. If we reach the campaign goal of EUR 7.200,- , the pressing is secured as well.
The only thing needed now is your support, in order to complete the album. What follows after the studio is routines, that we and the small but efficient team behind us have exercised a number of times in the past.
In the event that the campaign target isn’t reached, we will use any money raised to make the best album we possibly can and all supporters will still receive their perks.

Die Aufnahmen für mein nächstes Soloalbum sind abgeschlossen. Fünf der neuen Songs entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit Stefan Kletetzka (More Songs about Sex, Ocean Eyes). Weitere wurden mit Helge Reich (Jam Today, R.I.P.), Torsten ‚Totti‘ Scharfenberg (Ukes of Tomorrow, The Leroys), Nik 21 und Jens C. Möller geschrieben. Hinzu kommen fünf Coverversionen, über die noch nichts verraten wird.
Zwei der Songs wurden von Nik 21 produziert, einer von Thorsten Luck. Der Rest wurde von Joszi Sorokowski (u.a. Die Goldenen Zitronen, Die Mimmis, C.I.A., Cucumber Men, Ukes of Tomorrow) in seinem Studio in Elmshorn produziert. Neben den oben genannten Co-Autoren gibt es Gastauftritte von Ginger Wade und Luise Schitteck.

Das Ziel dieser Crowdfunding Kampagne ist es, genügend Unterstützer zu finden um: Mix, Mastering, Artwork und die CD Pressung zu finanzieren.
Und jetzt zum spaßigen Teil. Wir haben uns wieder jede Menge witzige Perks einfallen lassen als Gegenleistung für Eure Unterstützung. Vom einfachen Download, signierte CDs, über exklusive Fanpakete, bis hin zum intimen Akustik Konzert in Deinen eigenen vier Wänden.

Stand der Dinge
Alle 15 Songs sind bereits fertig aufgenommen, wir sind also schon ziemlich weit. Wenn das Ziel von EUR 7.200,- erreicht wird, wären Mix, Mastering und Herstellung auch gesichert.
Was jetzt noch fehlt, ist das Wichtigste, nämlich Deine Unterstützung, damit das Album fertiggestellt werden kann. Was danach kommt, sind Abläufe, die wir und das kleine, aber feine Team hinter uns schon oft durchexerziert haben.
Sollte das Mindestziel nicht erreicht werden, werden wir trotzdem mit dem eingenommenen Geld das bestmögliche Album machen, und alle Unterstützer werden ihre Perks erhalten.
