The search is on as one mans dream job rests on where he left his keys. With your help we will be able to make this dream into a reality.

Synopsis

Doug can’t catch a break, with big dreams of becoming a chef slowly looking dim and an eviction notice deeming him and his companion dog, Max, homeless if he doesn’t find one soon. His hard work however finally pays off with a job as an apprentice chef on the condition he’s there before two-thirty, thrilled he leaps for the door and before opening it realises he doesn’t have his keys, the clock strikes one and the search is on.

Short Summary

  • My name's Danyon and I'm so excited to show you all my new short film I'm working on I just need your guys help to make it happen.
  • The Campain is going towards my new short film Keys, this film has an important message of having dreams in life which I feel is being lost in todays media.
  • Contributers will make this film happen! They will help feed the cast and crew, have a proffesional colour grade and better equipment so contributers get nothing but the best.

The Team

Co-Producer: Meg McLaughlin

Hi I’m Meg and I’m co-producing this production. I’ve had previous experience producing a television commercial otherwise most of my other work has been in editing and directing. I’m excited to be producing my first short alongside Harry and with a great team behind us I can assure you Keys will be fantastic and entertaining. Everyone can relate to trying to find something you need urgently and in the chaos of it all you never thought to check the simplest places.

Co-Producer and Director of Photography: Harrison Witherspoon

Hi, I’m the Co-Producer on Keys as well as the Director of Photography. My background in work is a bit of everything, I love involving myself in projects that are not only fun to watch but to create as well. This project is one that I’d consider a passion project as I will be working along colleagues and friends throughout. Keys really hits home as I’m sure it does with a lot of you, providing a positive story is something that is quiet niche in indie films today, and that’s a big motivation to make this film the best it can possibly be.

Editor: Brandon Anderson

2 years prior experience working alongside this film crew, 8+ years of editing experience. Predominantly worked on Music and Dance videos but have recently delved into short films. Given my history with this team, I feel that we will ace the production of it and editing will be a complete breeze.

Production Designer: Kendra Tomlinson

Hi, my name is Kendra Tomlinson. I’m a student at JMC with Danyon and the crew. I’ve worked with this crew before on a previous film, ‘Shannon’. Danyon an amazing director with an astounding spirit and unending love for filmmaking. I’ve also worked on short films throughout my short career, including ‘The Locket’ and other short commercials and music videos. I’m currently the production designer on the film ‘Keys’. I love designing sets and costuming, it gives me great joy to know that I’ve put my creative mark on this amazing film.

Sound Designer and Recordist: Aaron Monshing

I’m Aaron, I will be coming onto the crew of Keys as Sound Designer and Sound Recordist. I have worked on many Short Films, Festival entries, and Features in a variety of roles within the Sound Department. Working with Audio is for me is always fun endeavour as it allows me to further express myself in the form of sound. Keys will be very dependent on the mood created in Post Sound, bringing attention to small moments that are intended to bring the most emotive impact throughout the story. For me in any project I’m on it’s always about making the story shine!

What We Need & What You Get

  • For the campain we will need around $1000, this goes towards the goals stated above and will make all the difference for how our shoot goes.
  • You should all be getting real excited about our perks, they are such things as a private copy of the film before it hits the public, behind the scenes features and even a souvenir if you pitch in high enough.

Post Production $240: This here is mainly so we can get a professional colour grade for our short film and really have those colours pop for the audience.

Catering $200: No one likes to be hungry and especially not on a film shoot. This will let us say thanks to the cast and crew that work hard to make this film be the best it can be for you guys.

Props $100: Nothing brings a world to life more than it's props, it's especially important in this case as the bulk of what we learn about Doug revolves around his surroundings.

Media Marketing $260: This involves our Posters and thumbnails and helps let our film be heard across the great vastness that is the internet, this too goes into the indigogo perks costs and cut that's taken out of the overall sum.

Sound Mixing and equipment $200: this is so we can have crisp audio for our viewers to enjoy as well as helping us out when it comes to creating the world of Doug's through sound.

Stretch Goals
But wait theres more! If we manage to raise our goal the road doesn't stop there friend. We'll be able to aim for bigger dreams for this project such as a professional music composition for the short film as well as an awesome piece of equipment that's just shy of our price range.
