Is preservation possible?
![]()
Viattis Production and The TAO Company have teamed up to double their efforts in an attempt to make a film that will change the way an audience accepts and views their society. Having been involved in filmmaking and successful festival acceptance in the past, all artists involved in this project have come together to create their most thought provoking, collaborative piece of existentialism yet. Today's world makes it all too easy to simply consume and accept what is readily laid out for the taking; we intend to provoke the manifestation of our human right to question.
Synopsis

‘Killian’ tells the eerily nostalgic tale of a discordant family affected by advancements of the future and abandonment of one another. Our hero, Killian, struggles to decide whether to continue his lone voyage across the country or return home. Conversely, his parents, Jacob and Vanessa are portrayed through a series of scenes that parallel each other's tendencies and fears. Laying in the shadows lies the threat of a new government technology, InterCell. With the general intention of monitoring citizens in an effort to suppress forms of individual expression. Killian's absence renders the ever present question as to whether preservation of the human form is at all still possible.
What We Need & What You Get

Michael Madsen, who is best known for his work in Quentin Tarantino's films (i.e. Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill) was carefully selected to play a main role in this film for his dedication to preserving the main concepts of the story. His personal interest in the film's message is evident in his performance and complements the personalities of his co-stars who also boast impressive resumes in the film industry.

In addition to the money we have already personally contributed to the film to cover the auditions, hiring actors, hiring a crew of professionals, gaining permissions to shoot at certain locations, travel, equipment rental, etc., we will need an additional $12,000 umbrella to fund the following:
- Editor - $2,500
- Audio Mixing/Mastering - $1,500
- Color Correction & Special Effects - $4,000
- Rights to lease material through MGM - $2,000
- Festival submissions, both national and international - $2,000
Aside from an invitation to the film's official screening we are excited to gift our contributors with the following credits and souvenirs that are provided in our 'Perks' section.
Your Impact
As a contributor to this project you are not only helping us complete the technical aspects of the film, you are enhancing the preservation of art and its importance in an ever evolving technological landscape.
Our past projects have met their goals and we can only hope to bring on our faithful contributors to our newest project while acquiring new minds to be a part of the movement. We hope that our acceptance to major festivals will continue to be a pattern and will also evolve into other, more prosperous opportunities for the creators and actors alike.
Risks & Challenges
Most of the risky and challenging facets of the creation of this film have already been executed with our own money. Unforeseen challenges are most likely to present themselves in the early stages of filmmaking. Having already addressed and successfully handled these unpredictable parts of production, we can ensure that the money we acquire through this campaign will simply and wholly go toward each specific professional service listed above. The list encompasses all of the things a viewer may not directly be familiar with but are absolutely necessary to complete the viewing experience.
Other Ways You Can Help
Please know that we are deeply grateful for any type of contribution you have to offer but are also aware that helping monetarily may not be in the cards for you at the moment. You can do your part to assist us by simply sharing this campaign and creating publicity and awareness for what we are attempting to complete and accomplish.
