About
Kingston Clean Lunch Company was created by graphic designer, mom and food enthusiast, Ann Marie
Woolsey-Johnson. A resident of
Kingston, NY, her awareness and involvement in community activism surrounded
her with like-minded individuals encouraging advancements in food and health education
while furthering the locavore movement. In 2011, after the birth of her
daughter, she became increasingly interested in the idea of creating a lunch
service that would benefit the community her daughter would be raised in.
She’s aware that many children in the community simply don’t have access to clean,
healthy lunch options. She’d like to change that.
KCLC strives to provide your child with fresh, certified organic
and local foods each day. We will accommodate most dietary restrictions through
balanced and nutritious meal options so that your child can focus on healthy
meals and eating habits.
What We Need & What You Get
We're looking to raise $5,000.00 for the first year of service; this includes:
Food costs to feed a max. of 15-20 kids (5 lunches a week), kitchen rental space, delivery costs, packaging and possible staffing.
** First 5 donations of $200 get a month of free lunches for parents.**
If our goal is not reached, we may donate funds to a local soup kitchen or Family of Woodstock and/or New Paltz or other local agency in need.
The Impact
Your contribution will help feed a child who lacks consistent access to healthy food.
Other Ways You Can Help
You can help KCLC by sharing this vision with other like-minded, community focused individuals.
