Awaken your imagination.

In “Knightdale Kings,” young Caleb (Jacob Wilhelmi) and his best friend Devon (Jonathan Geisler) spend their days battling imaginary armies and fighting fictional dragons. They defend their make-believe kingdom in the forests of North Carolina, all the while knowing that their fortress is only an escape from the actual difficulties of growing up. When Caleb refuses to accept the reality that awaits them beyond their wooded world, pretend dragons become the least of their worries. The monsters of real life come for the boys, testing their inner strength and forcing them to face their biggest challenge yet.
"Knightdale Kings" is a film about the challenges of growing up — learning to let things go, to see from a perspective beyond ourselves, and to accept the things that are out of our control. Yet “Knightdale Kings” is still a story of triumph, a testament to the power of imagination, friendship, and family. We, the filmmakers, hope the film will awaken you, the viewer, to your own imagination and inspire you to share your imaginative thinking with the people you love.
Today, more than ever, we need films like this to remind us that we all share the value of imagination. Join us on this adventure to transform the imagined world of "Knightdale Kings" into cinematic reality. Your contribution is critical to help us cover the costs of equipment rental, labor, meals to feed the cast and crew, and festival submissions. Plus, we have some fantastic perks for those of you who join us.
Now is the time. Awaken your imagination, make a contribution, and join the adventure.

Know the risks and challenges.

Every film presents challenges, and so we can't guarantee anything. In our case, the fire-breathing dragon prowling about Knightdale could pose a major risk to production. But we will arm the crew with wooden swords and shields, and we will work relentlessly to complete the film and present it to our backers this fall. Thank you for your support.
