THE STORY
After a tragic accident, both wheelchair-bound Sally, played by Alison Stanley (Purple Hill), and her husband John, played by Graham Saxon (Downton Abbey) find the other to be be increasingly distant, uncommunicative and frustrated.
As a last attempt to rekindle their relationship, they visit a beautiful spot in the Lakes that was once very special to the both of them.
Finding the trip too much to handle, John’s true feelings begin to spill. But is he the only one hiding secrets?
It's an exciting time for filmmakers. The ability to propose and produce films through social media is becoming exceedingly popular and we've turned to IndieGoGo (and YOU) to help us tell this story.
LAKESIDE takes a raw, emotional look at the process of guilt, inner torment and how it can warp a relationship.
With your help, we can tell this story and become part of an ongoing dialogue about the struggles we face while learning to accept ourselves for our mistakes and the consequences that follow.
WHAT WE NEED
An awful lot goes in to creating a short film, and with a minimal amount of people helping to produce it, this can be pretty difficult to pull off.
Your contribution will help a talented cast and crew secure beautiful locations and ensure the production goes as smoothly as achievable.
We want to share this visual story with everyone and anyone who is willing to watch. With your help, we can achieve a bigger and better platform to do so. We're keen to enter our project into as many festivals as we can, which we are unable to do without some extra funding.
WHO ARE WE?
We are an incredibly passionate and ambitious bunch of students, hoping to one day make a career in the industry. As with all projects, we have to start small.
LAKESIDE gives us the chance to showcase our abilities and share our story with the world. And you can be part of it!
