What is Hybridge Arts Collective?

Hybridge Arts Collective produces and presents performance pieces that establish new and limitless conversations about the performing arts and redefine the artist and audience relationship within the Greater Philadelphia region. The collective celebrates breaking away from the traditional performing art norms in order to facilitate growth, provide shared resources, and encourage cross-genre appreciation between artists. By presenting a vast number of generative artistic disciplines, they encourage the creation of performance in uncharted forms while simultaneously engaging audiences of far-ranging demographics in the process of art making. Recognizing Philadelphia as one of the nation’s most thriving performing arts communities, Hybridge promises to produce affordable, accessible and captivating work among celebrated and emerging artists.

What is Last Mondays and why should I care about it?

Last Mondays is a monthly multidisciplinary performing arts series presented at Broad Street Ministries. Since June 2010, the mission of this event is to give performance opportunities to innovative artists and to provide audiences with the most affordable art on the Avenue of the Arts. For only $5 Last Mondays provides audiences with both a glimpse at emerging work in Philadelphia and a vegetarian pasta dinner. Many forms of the performing arts are incorporated in the Last Mondays series; including theatre, dance, music poetry and anything in between. These events bring together an artistic community while providing an opportunity for artists and audiences to have an open dialogue in a space that eliminates artistic elitism.

Last Mondays is a labor of love that is produced by the five co-directors of Hybridge Arts Collective. Over the last year Last Mondays has hosted 40+ individual artists and performance groups, and has delighted over 250 audience members. Every month Broad Street Ministries opens it doors to Hybridge Arts Collective and its continually growing artist and audience base, for a night of evocative performance art and delicious pasta. This event brings together different artist communities and brings affordable art to the community at large. Last Mondays is an incubator for artists to share their works in progress and polished pieces with their peers and new audiences.

Where does your money go?
Your generous donation goes directly into the food, supplies, and marketing needed to create a successful event every month.

$1,980 of your donations will go the food costs for an entire year of shows.

$1000 of your donations will go to the various technical needs of our monthly show. Including: Clip Lights, Dimmer, Light Bulbs, Gaff Tape, and much much more. Lighting has been a very special challenge over the past year. Every month Hybridge Arts borrows lighting equipment from a few very generous arts organizations, but if we are able to have our own equipment our lighting capabilities and production value would increase immensely.

$695 will go to all of our administrative fees. Including: tax preparation, EIN, and incorporation fees
