Help Bring ‘LATE, LATE FROGS’ To Life– A Theatrical Experience Like No Other!
AMM Productions is teaming with rising playwright Octavio Vourvoulias to bring a bold, hilarious new comedy to the modern stage, reimagining Frogs by Aristophanes.
Blending farce, political satire, and sharp social commentary, this electrifying play explores the power of art, leadership, and democracy—proving Aristophanes’ wit is as relevant as ever. We need your support to make this production unforgettable.
Late, Late Frogs is re-contextualised into a televised debate on a late night talk-show between two rock musicians’ regarding which is better at provoking societal change through their music. This debate explores the relationship between music and social activism, and interrogates the criteria by which we judge the merits of music as everyone has their own tastes and opinions. These two rockers in question includes: Andy Page, inspired by a myriad of classic rockers from the 1960’s and 1970s, most notably Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, Brian May, Jimmy Page or Jerry Garcia, with E-Danger a younger pop-adjacent rocker from closer to the present day, whose real-life inspirations range from Prince and George Michael to Billie Eilish and Conan Gray, with the politics of a Jello Biafra.

The Impact: Why This Play Matters
We strive to redefine the role of art and media, not as mere commodities, but as powerful catalysts for individual expression, social transformation, and critical thought. In an era where creativity is often commercialised and confined by market forces, we challenge the notion of a singular "correct" interpretation of art’s purpose. Instead, we embrace the diversity of perspectives, recognising that artistic expression is not a monolithic solution to society’s challenges but a dynamic dialogue—one that invites reflection, provokes discourse, and empowers individuals to shape their own truths.
Risks & Challenges
Our biggest challenge is the tight timeline. With this opportunity arising on such short notice, our team has been working tirelessly to ensure everything comes together as smoothly, efficiently, and ethically as possible.
Fortunately, this isn’t our first rodeo. Thanks to the trials and triumphs of our past work, we’ve built a reliable network of contacts—many of whom are eager to lend their expertise in bringing this dream to life. And, for once, rehearsals are likely the least of our concerns due to our simple setup and duration. When does that ever happen?!
