Fifth album - finally!
It has been a long time since my fourth album, "Live at Rockwood." By the time 2011 rolled around, the music industry had freeze-dried my musical spirit, and I needed to give that spirit a break. So I took a much-needed year off from performing. I didn't want to make music again until I was busting to do so - and this is what finally came out of that busting.
Produced by John Clement, this new album will have a different sound from any of my previous ones. I love the new vibe that John brings to my music. In addition, the fabulous Andy Dosmann joins me on two songs that we wrote together.
You'll be familiar with many of the tracks on this album, but a couple of them have never been performed before. Here's a list, in no particular order, of the tracks:
Right Now
Surrender
Wrecking Ball
Headlights
Old as Bones
Play Me Something
The Storm
How to Break
Why
Here's what we need:
I need at least $3,000 to make this album happen, but I really need to raise more than that if possible. Here's a super-basic breakdown of where the money will go - as you can see this adds up to a lot more than $3,000:
$2000 - studio time and travel to studio
$500 - mastering
$1500 - printing and shipping
$500 - additional musicians
$300 - CD design
TOTAL: $4800
Please spread the word!
I've lost touch with a lot of fans - please send this site to anyone who you think might be interested in helping to make this album happen!
