Every Farm Has a Story

Schultz Farm was founded in 1995 by a farmer named Gerry and his son, Dave, in Northwestern Wisconsin. Over the years, it became a unique place that fed local families and entertained thousands of school children each fall. It was also a sanctuary for thousands of farm animals: sheep, cows, horses, miniature horses, donkeys, llamas, potbelly pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and peacocks. It has been a farm loved by its farmers and the community for the past 18 years, but sadly it all could soon be lost.

Our Farm's Story (Shorter Version of Film - 2:53):

In 2007, Gerry lost his decade-long battle with cancer. At the same time, Dave's son, Zack, was attending Liberty University in Virginia. The working hands on the farm fell from three down to one. Dave single-handedly worked a full-time job an hour from home, attended to his mother who battles health problems that come with age, and ran a farm full of hungry mouths to feed. Without time to do everything, he had to shrink the size of the flock and close their annual community pumpkin patch.

Dad's Love For Animals (2:35):

Zack and his wife, Bethany, have made it their life goal to pay off their college loans and move back to the family farm. Zack dreams of farming with his dad, just like Dave did with his father, Gerry. With Zack's grandmother's health now declining, Zack and Bethany desperately need to purchase her house and portion of the land soon. Otherwise, the entire farm will be sold.

With your support, you can help Zack and his wife acquire this land that is in jeopardy, reunite his family on the farm his forefathers built, and make a father-son dream a reality for generations to come.

Bethany's First Time On The Farm (1:21):

Your Impact on our Family

A word from Zack

We need to raise $40,000 in 40 days to purchase my grandmother's portion of the farm and rejoin my family back to Wisconsin on the beautiful land I grew up on. We know this goal is huge, but we also know with a lot of caring people, hard work and many nights of prayer anything is possible. If we are blessed to receive more than our goal amount, all funds will go to repair the barn's roof and foundation. It is a trademark of the farm and we would love it to stand for another 75 years.

If we do not raise enough, it will leave my parents landlocked resulting in them selling their half of the farm also. At this point, the money raised will be used to do the repairs needed to sell the farm and purchase another smaller farm together. This way our dream of farming together can still come true.

Your gift will bring new life to our family and help keep our dream alive.

Be a part of our journey to reunite our family and save our forefathers' farm. You can choose from our unique gifts pertaining to your contribution amount that will come directly from the hearts that care for the farm you saved.

Every contributor's name will be added to the gratitude section of our official website and Facebook page. If you want to stay anonymous, we will still place you in the section as "anonymous."
