Who we are?
Lefty Music is a one-stop shop production and artist development agency that provides independent artists with the resources needed to succeed in the music industry. By working with undiscovered acts to produce a polished Electronic Press Kit (including recorded music, photographs, web content and videos), Lefty Music aims to help its clientele develop a unique brand with which to market themselves. What makes Lefty Music unique is the fact that all the production is done by one collaborative and passionate team. By working with one team, all the production elements are presented with a cohesive brand and image. It is important to work closely with the band and have them involved in all creative decisions to ensure everything produced reflects them accurately and in the best possible way.
Lefty Music will create three professional quality EPKs, expand our artists’ fan bases, and demonstrate how our services can be beneficial to independent musicians. We want to help bands realize their creative potential.
What we do?
Lefty Music prides itself on being a “one-stop shop” for all of an independent artist’s production needs. From polished, radio-ready recordings to engaging social media content and sleek music videos, Lefty Music does it all. At Lefty we don’t adhere to any singular artistic vision. Instead, we work closely with our artists to create products that reflect their artistic and aesthetic vision while maximizing their commercial viability. If we were to work with a hard rock band, for instance, we wouldn’t try to mould them into an over-produced pop-punk outfit purely for the sake of mass marketability. We would, however, try to figure out a way to make their music and “image” more appealing to the average listener while still adhering to their musical and aesthetic sensibilities. Throughout our artist selection process, we have placed a strong emphasis on finding artists who are enthusiastic about working with us and are open to this type of creative collaboration.
By the end of the project, each artist will be receiving an EPK that is completely unique to them. A hip-hop artist is going to come away with a very different EPK than a mellow singer-songwriter or a gritty modern rock band. In many ways, this sense of creative malleability is one of our group’s only defining attributes. Our goal is not to stamp every project with a distinctive Lefty signature; instead, we hope that the only trace of Lefty’s involvement will be a stamp of quality and some sense of commercial viability.
