It’s been a tough few years for small business owners. But they’re a pretty resilient bunch, and they’ve learned plenty of lessons: not just about how to survive, but also about how to position themselves to thrive. We’ve spent the last year and a half compiling the most valuable lessons into a new book: Lessons from the Great Recession - Real Solutions for Every Small Business Riding the Economic Rollercoaster.
We believe this book will be of immense value to small business people and new entrepreneurs all over America. And, since small businesses are the engine of the American economy, if we can help them thrive, we’re helping everyone. You can help make that happen!
Why We Can Do This
Why us? What do we know about small businesses? Fair question. Our co authors are James Barrood and Brian Moran. James leads the nationally recognized Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship at FDU. In this role, he doesn’t just help entrepreneurs and innovators succeed, he also leads one of the region’s most robust networks of businesspeople and business experts. Brian is Executive Director, Sales Development at The Wall Street Journal, where he is a leading advocate for small businesses. Previously, he was the Associate Publisher at Inc. Magazine, and a Publisher at Entrepreneur Media.
Together, they’ve rounded up an extraordinary group of experts for this book: people who are completely locked in to the challenges real small businesses face, and have already made outstanding contributions.
