What is the Let Freedom Ring Project?
The Let Freedom Ring Project is the culmination of four years effort to bring grass roots independent media to the people of Northeast Pennsylvania and beyond:
- December 31, 2011 marked the first broadcast of Sanity Check Radio Show with activists Lou Jasikoff and Mike Lacey as hosts. The weekly hour long broadcast features a wide range of topics, most of which are not covered by other media outlets. Heard on 94.3FM The Talker, the show also features a call-in segment to allow listener participation.

- July 4, 2012 marked the first published edition of the Independent Gazette newspaper. The Gazette has printed over 450,000 copies, and has published editions in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Carbon County, Arlington, Virginia, Trenton, New Jersey, Berks County, Quad County, with South Jersey, and other locations to begin print soon.

The topics addressed by Sanity Check and the Independent Gazettes —everything from corruption in the family court system to exemplary small businesses and up-and-coming artists—are not relegated to one small region or group. We give everyone the chance to be heard by providing a platform for voices otherwise marginalized by "establishment" media. By taking charge of your message through our media platform, you participate in your own freedom and become part of the Let Freedom Ring Project.
The Future of Freedom
Freedom House will be the future home of the
Independent Gazettes, Pennsylvania Civil Rights Law Network, Pennsylvania Coalition for Family and Parental Rights, and meeting place for like minded peoples - the core of the
Let Freedom Ring Project.![]()
Located at
154 Auburn Street, Meshoppen, PA, the home was once part of the underground railroad. It will also house the retail shop used by the Gazettes online stores and facilities to make quality videos that can be used to promote products, events, and businesses. Use of this facility has been generously donated to the Let Freedom Ring Project.
Please help us grow by donating $3,000 for these envisioned expanded services to the community:
-
Twigs Cafe Radio (launching October 15) which will be hosting Jasikoff and Friends and Justice Served with Andy Ostrowski live via the app. Equipment upgrade -

The Impact
The mission of the Let Freedom Ring Project is to give everyone a voice regardless of political affiliation and to find and report the truth, no matter the push back from powerful special interest groups. For example, the Independent Gazette and Sanity Check began reporting on horrible abuses within the family court system of Lackawana and Luzerne Counties in Pennsylvania. This coverage exposed corruption and joined the fight for the rights of both children and their parents. While these injustices appear to have been going on for years, the press had remained silent—until we broke the story. This fight is not over, and we will continue pressing for change.
In addition, the 2015 election cycle is upon us, and we're committed to bringing you the information you need to make informed decisions at the ballot box. With our expanded outreach, we'll be better equipped to give you the information you need when you need it through fair, honest coverage of the candidates.
Finally, we wish to inform the public on what is going on in their local communities involving seniors, veterans, benefits, and group activities such as the Rotary, Lions Club and others.
