She is Elle
I am Nani, Elle's mother and one of her many big fans. We live simply in an eco-village. We live simply indeed and work very hard. I did not know that perhaps the greatest gift that I could give Elle would be technology. I've provided fresh air, good food, intellectuals and artists...all in a rural setting. I wanted to give her the best world that I knew to give her. All mothers want this. I was not equipt to provide computers and hardware. Technology is quite obviously a gateway to boundless creative adventures for Elle. Elle has taken to creating on line, exhibiting her humor, dance, music, graphics via a computer for the last few years. I "inherit" computers that would die and recover them...as best I can. Alas, our family has hit a point where my skills are far behind Elle's and I feel her bridled spirit. With your help another child, a native Hawaiian, who has lived a life underserved will finally have a tool real and significant to boost her contribution to creativity!
Elle needs a high performing computer
$2000 is our goal.
When I've compared the technology I think will serve her the best for years to come it was in the ballpark of $1400-$2000. All monies that she raises and that are raised for her will feed her hungry artistic nature. Firstly, technology and then what ever else she may need: easel, a good camera, field trips to places like City Museum in St.Louis, mixing board, looping pedals, instruments. These are things that we only dream of at this point.
Elle already has excitement about gifting you with drawings, sketchups, character designs, sculptures, products that she creates for you. We also have artist and other contributing friends that will support Elle by gifting you with pottery, jewelry, and original works of art as well.
Every tribute will serve Elle. Should we not meet our goal, every coin still feeds back into her tool kit. If the half way mark, at the least, is met, then Elle will continue her fundraising towards a high quality computer. In the chance that we are less our half way mark, I will allow Elle the option to use her funds for something affordable that will continue to let her grow!
I mentioned she is also working to raise funds.
Another way to help her and her grandma!
Grandma, myself, and Elle came up with an entrepenurial way to symbiotically help Grandma and Elle. You too may assist these ladies (mini lady) and benefit with a fun investment...of a doll.
I imagine that you came to our campaign because you love artist and wanted to support an artist. We gladly accept your contribution and want to give you art. Elle also is able to give you a collectable dolly, courtesy of her very intense doll collecting grandma, at a lower that it's resell value in gratitude, in consideration of your contribution. Symbiosis? Elle collects 30% and %70 goes to grandma. G'ma, not so techy, 10 year old is very confident that she could move Grandma's dollies for her. We recognize the uniqueness of this proposal. It may be your cup o tea or not. If it is, let us know. Elle will be thrilled to be able to give Grandma money and earn some herself.
You never know who wants to help:)
Please tell your friends about us, post, or tweet. Heck, if you feel so inclined tell your local artist or nerd about us or nerdy artist...even better.
You may copy and paste into emails or bb's or forums any part of our campaign or simply use any tools indiegogo has to offer to make us POPULAR! The more we are viewed and gifted to, Indiegogo will share our story up front and center, then the more likely we will succeed.
Mahalo nui (I thank you greatly),
Nani
