You’re not stumbling on this by happenstance. This connection has been made from the output of many prayers, as I’ve always believed a prayer will never fail to find its intended destination...and this video has found you.

Several years ago I began writing letters to my grandson, a child that I had never met due to family estrangement. This was a crushing situation that challenged me physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
At the core, this book is for my grandson William, but it also is an honest and authentic view into the pain of estrangement. It shows the path taken through the darkness capturing the hurt as well as the humor, and sharing compelling life lessons from Grandpa Champ along the way.
I pray that if you are dealing with the pain of estrangement you will unlock your heart’s door and allow the prayers of many to find their intended destination.
You might be shocked to learn estrangement affects over half of the families in the United States! Social media and today’s prevalent messages of “you deserve better” and “eliminate all toxicity” from your lives has created disposable family relationships. It’s a perfect storm that will affect generations of families. Instead of introspection, self-awareness, and a search for a solution, we get encouraged to amputate the perceived negativity.
People may believe they are powerless to others’ decisions, but I believe every prayer will find its intended destination.

I believe reading my personal stories will help you truly process and give you hope when so many are trying to convince you there is none. There is no perfect family or perfect life. About the Author
Dave Koll (AKA “Grandpa Champ”) would consider himself the luckiest man on the planet if you asked him. He’s a product of growing up in a huge extended family with all of the associated blessings and complexities that come with it. Dave claims his feet haven’t touched the ground since he married his wife Cyndi. Together they have raised seven children and currently reside in Omaha, Nebraska.
When you meet Dave you’ll be drawn to his energy and spontaneity, and Cyndi will admit that “Yes, he is like this at home as well.” Because of this she often has to remind him to "just be normal" before social gatherings in order to rein him in.
Dave will never cease in his desire to shine in a way that helps others find their way. His passion is teaching and developing others to become better leaders both personally and professionally. Dave knows quite well his own areas of improvement and strives to always be a better version of himself than he was the day before.
Letters to William is the output of a pen that bled ink for many years, letters to a grandson he thought he would never meet due to estrangement. Dave spent years journaling the pain and healing until finally the ultimate miracle of reconciliation and forgiveness came to fruition. You will find that Letters to William is not a how-to book but a “how-can” journey for others to find themselves and know that they are not alone in their experiences.
Dave sees this book as not an end to the story, but just the beginning of reconnecting many relationships locked in a struggle to find their way back together.

Risks & Challenges
The biggest challenge with publishing a book is delivering the finished book to the backer, specifically my mailing of the book to you. I have eliminated this risk by building into the campaign the mailing and shipping costs of your signed copies to you within each pre-order tier.
The risk of delivering the pre-sale copies of my book is contingent on the publisher we use. I will be working closely with New Degree Press to make sure we get the earliest possible ship date of the signed book copy to you. We will keep all pre-sale backers up-to-date as my book hits each key milestone and publishes. You will know when the copies are expected to ship.
