Short Summary
Mason has a passion for musical theatre but is yet to find his big break. After a bout of rejections Mason’s dad, Jim, decides enough is enough, its time for Mason to get a real job, alongside him in the family business. Desperate not to be dragged into the world of used car sales, Mason begs for one last chance. Jim reluctantly gives in and Mason gives it his all in one final audition.
Mason dazzles the producers during his audition but come the first rehearsal, quickly realizes that it’s not exactly a musical that he has signed up for. Hesitant at first, but determined to perform, and with a little help from Julian and Ross, Mason dives in and embraces the world of Drag.
After a little tucking, plucking, adjusting and makeup-ing, Mason transforms into the Queen he never knew he could be and takes his place centre stage. A vibrant and electric performance ensues and Mason and receives a standing ovation for his debut performance. Sometimes the right path isn’t one you thought you’d follow…
What We Need & What You Get
To make this film the best it can be we have estimated that we will need to work within a $12 000 budget. With a volunteering crew onboard, this money will be going to various areas of the production so that all the money raised will be seen on screen.
- Creating costumes and props to bring the audience into the fabulous world of Drag.
- Location Fees for the various places the production will be taking place.
- The amazing actors are human too and need payment for all of their hard work!
