LIFELINE follows the story of a young teenage girl from a wealthy family who, uncovers a previously latent identity crisis due to being an adopted child who has never met nor known anything about her biological parents.
She sets off on a mission to learn more about her biological parents, but instead discovers the existence of her long lost half-brother. Their first meeting is not all sunshine and rainbows, as her brother is an ex-drug dealer who doesn’t care about anyone except his best friend and his passion for art, specifically graffiti art. Needless to say, the two siblings and their two very different personalities clash, their lives thrown off course.

Our film traverses an aspect of non-traditional families that is underrepresented in media: the relationship between half-siblings.
“Personally, I want to tell this story as I come from a non-traditional family, having a brother, half-sister, and two step-brothers. When my sister was born, I was nine years old, smart enough to understand the world around me, but not yet old enough to fully comprehend all the details. Unconsciously, I did not see my sister as my sister. I did not understand the relationship between the two of us, especially since we grew up in two different homes.
I want to tell this story in order to shed more light on the relationship between half-siblings and the struggles and emotions that come with it, so that others can see, can learn, and hopefully, those who are going through something similar, can relate to."
