Short Summary
After a film photographer’s only muse leaves him, he obsessively seeks a new woman that has the potential to replicate her.
My name is Hunter Marrs, I'm a senior at Parsons School of Design studying Communication Design and Film Production. Limits of Sky was written and stashed away 2 years ago, but certain life events rekindled my desire to share this story in the only way I know how - a film. Being born and raised in Las Vegas, I've grown up observing obscene art, film, and human interactions. These have become inspiration for storytelling character developments and subject studies for photographs - making the passion for my work revolve around a relationship between indecency and beauty of the mundane.
The artist's muse has always fascinated me - Writing from my experience on both sides, it’s a slippery slope to navigate what is for personal gain and what is actually appreciating experiences together. This film is not meant to critique this relationship, but rather a hope for an audience to reflect on their own creative processes. In seeing this character’s struggle to produce work because he’s relying on others for inspiration, presence, and preconceived expectations, one must remind themselves of what it actually means to have their own voice in creating.
