We have spent over a year writing for our first full length release. We are trying to raise a great deal of money and the reason is because this money will allow us to record these songs how they were intended to be heard. We have always tried to be a hardworking, independent touring band, but now is the time for us to ask for help. This campaign is leaving us open and vulnerable but over the past two years we have received such vigorous support that this goal seems achievable.
The outcome of our campaign is reliant on people -- the ones we've built relationships with over the past several years. The sum total of our experiences as Lions is a positive one and this will be no different. The success of this campaign will mark the next step for Lions.
Thank you from da bois! -- Jer, Richard, Nate, and Josiah.
Money Break Down: It's important to us that we are transparent throughout this whole process. We are hopeful because we believe that we have a solid foundation of people that want to help! Here is how the money will be allocated.
Engineering: Along the path of music we've met a sound wizard that has the faculties required to realize the full potential of what we have been working on for nearly a year. We look forward to pushing ourselves harder than ever because of him. At the helm, he will ensure the final product will sound the best it possibly can.
Space: We will be booking time and space in the studios our sound engineer operates out of in Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN. We want to record in spaces/studios that will be well-equipped to properly record these songs. It's important that the quality surpasses what we've already released.
Mastering: In the process of production, mastering can truly make or break an album. As such we'll have to find someone we can trust as capable with such an important task.
Miscellaneous: The additional funds will go to creating any of the incentives redeemed, fixing any gear we will use for recording, and travel expenses. If we surpass our goal we will use the money towards future touring as well as allowing us to start rebuilding a band fund for emergencies/touring after we finish recording.
