Hello, we are the LoBros! A horn band built around two brothers; Christian and Salvador Lopez. We take different musical styles and genre and blend them together to create a unique and exciting musical experience. We have named our eclectic mix of classical, latin, jazz and funk - Caliente Classical Crossover.
We have our eye on a Grammy and your contribution will go towards helping us to create an award winning album! Our new album will feature 10 tunes inspired by some of the greatest "classical" music, hottest Latin rhythms and hippest jazz and funk licks.
We create and play music because we love it and part of the experience is to share our creation with you and hope you love it too. Our dream is to take Caliente Classical Crossover on the road both in the US and abroad. The next step to achieving our dream is this new album. With our albums we are able to share our unique style of music, not only with those who can come to a live event but with people all over the world.
We have already won an award for our tune "Little Symphony" (based off Mozart’s symphony #25 in G minor) and we plan on submitting this new album to the Grammys in hopes of winning best Instrumental album. Your contribution will be helping us make this dream a reality.
We’re raising $7,500 which is the budget for our album. The funds raised will go towards studio time (this includes the recording, mixing and mastering), album art, disc maker fees and distribution. To record our album we are teaming up with our favorite veteran recording engineer, Jim Brady in Tucson AZ who has worked with artists such as Linda Ronstadt and Kenny Rogers.
We have lots of fun perks for you when you contribute from signed CDs, limited edition calendars, and LoBros baseball hats, to Horn-O-Grams, a LoBros original tune written for you, and even a private concert!
We’re only 3 years old as a band and we have already recorded two albums, performed internationally, and won best instrumental tune from Akademia Music Awards. We may have big dreams but we also have a lot of drive and focus. Sky is the limit and with your donation we’re going to make history!
There are always risks and challenges when recording an album especially during the recording and mixing phases. Because we have recorded 2 previous albums we have a realistic time table and have also added in a cushion for delays and or other unforeseen issues that may crop up during the project.
