Germ-killing, quick-drying, easy-clean: this reinvention of the toilet brush has an 8-blade helix head to enhance cleaning power.
LooBlade follows the toilet contours. It reaches under the rim with ease, and contains an anti-microbial that's laboratory tested and certified to kill 99.9% of germs, both during and after cleaning.
LooBlade does not get clogged up like the bristles of a brush. Its specially-designed hydrophobic materials shed water and dry quickly.
The ‘hollow-point’ head feature helps act as a plunger to clear blockages, and the unique holder design allows free air flow to ensure no residual water collects.
LooBlade® is patented in the UK and has patents pending worldwide.
LooBlade is far ahead of traditional toilet brushes - lasting up to ten years, and guaranteed for three years. Spare heads and handles will be available in the future for all LooBlades. Alternative designs of holder will also become available so in future you can mix and match and never need to buy a whole new toilet brush ever again.
Toilet brushes: a flawed design
The classic toilet brush design has remained unchanged for years and is extremely poor at toilet-cleaning for several reasons:
LooBlade outperforms the toilet brush
The bristles of a toilet brush quickly become clogged with paper and other things...hard to keep clean. LooBlade, has smooth, flat repellent surfaces...easily kept clean and clear with just a gentle shake, or rinse.
After use a traditional brush traps a significant amount of germ-filled, smelly water– even after shaking! With hydrophobic plastics, LooBlade ensures that water is easily removed.
A bristle brush only touches part of the surface, meaning you need to scrub back and forth to ensure you get cleaning coverage. LooBlade maintains continuous contact with the toilet bowl, meaning that its blades swipe the surface clean in a single pass, (as a spatula does). The shape of the blades and their firm, flexible material also lets LooBlade to clean under the rim, where brushes struggle.
Standard toilet brushes are not objects that most people would score highly on appearance. LooBlade, from its ergonomic and iconic handle to its aesthetically pleasing head and modern range of colour options, brings a new level of design-thinking to an old problem.
If all households used LooBlade instead of conventional toilet brushes, then the reductions in water and bleach usage would be significant.
The certified anti-microbial properties of LooBlade mean that germs are killed outright, so there is no need to use bleach to disinfect it. A hot rinse with detergent occasionally is all the cleaning it requires.
In addition the clog-free nature of LooBlade means that the multiple flushes used to attempt to clean a brush are no longer necessary.
And the disposable attitude towards toilet brushes means that they are typically replaced up to once a year creating unnecessary land-fill. LooBlade solves that!

Who's behind LooBlade?
LooBlade is the creation of inventor Garry Stewart. Garry is an award-winning innovator, and multi patent-holding designer of Chop-Cloc, an award-winning energy efficiency product.
Manufacturing of the classic LooBlade is assured, with delivery of the first batch of products expected by April 2016.
Guarantee
Each LooBlade comes with a 3-year domestic guarantee, which covers faults in the product construction, material and assembly if used according to instructions.
We'll follow up once production begins to survey for specific choices.
How safe is Looblade for children?
Very much safer than a conventional toilet brush. The unit and
holder are made from materials that have a thru-structure antimicrobial to
International Standards Organisation certification, ISO22196:2011. LooBlade is safer than the toilet floor surfaces surrounding it, except when they've just been antiseptically cleaned, then comparably safe. But floors will quickly build
up bacteria again. LooBlade goes on neutralising germs 24/7.
Are the antimicrobial and hydrophobic elements just a coating?
No, both of these properties are designed into LooBlade. They are added
to the liquid plastics before manufacture so they are through the entire
product and holder.
How hygienic are the materials?
The plastics are the standard that food and medical products
need to be. We certify this to ISO22196:2011, using the world
respected German TüV laboratories.
How sustainable are the materials?
We worked hard to identify and source the most sustainable materials
we can for LooBlade. We opted for the newest technologies in plastics that
are completely recyclable, phthalate and bisphenol-A free, durable and long
lasting. Totally safe to use.
What about mold build-up or lime that requires scrubbing?
Brushes tend to leave more
than you think on a porcelain surface. The remaining bacterial film then spreads and acts as an adhesive for other nasties.
Brushes also carry a ‘charge’ of germs incubated in the holder which increases the problem. Even when you immerse a brush in bleach, the deep crevices within the bristles
means that they always retain a significant 'starter' load of bacteria
ready to breed and be reintroduced to the toilet.
LooBlades elastomer vanes are far more effective on matter on a
smooth porcelain surface and promote less
build up. When it's easy, nothing should be left to accumulate! You might say, LooBlade takes a disruptive view of the culture of toilet cleaning! Because brushes are so awful and ineffective we
have a bad regime of cleaning...because it's nasty and not easy. We subconsciously hate the way brushes function. We know that
even to bring them from their holder to the toilet is a nasty process. LooBlade changes all that...
Is it safe to use the the Looblade with toilet cleaners that contain
chlorine bleach or ammonia?
Yes, absolutely safe. LooBlade is inert to household chemicals.
(N.B. Remember never to mix bleach and ammonia together as highly toxic chlorine can be released!)
