Loomo incorporates Segway Mini Plus’s latest magnesium alloy base, which comprises of hundreds of self-balancing patents. Powerful motors & large volume battery enable speeds of up to 11 MPH, up to a distance of 22 miles. 11-inch anti-slip tires allow for smooth riding on uneven roads.

Multi-Sensor Perception Featuring Intel RealSense
Loomo is equipped with:
- Intel RealSense ZR300 camera for depth sensing & motion tracking, which enables 3D perception, robot mapping and obstacle avoidance
- 1080p HD-camera with 30Hz streaming & 104 degrees FOV for visual perception and photo/video capture
- 5-microphone array on its head to determine voice/noise direction and recognize voice commands
- 2 infrared distance sensors and an ultrasonic sensor in the front for obstacle detection and fall warning
- Several other touch sensors on its body that enable human-robot interaction and provide another method of control

Self-Stabilizing 3-Axis Gimbal
Loomo’s three-axis gimbal stabilizes its HD camera, enabling the robot to neutralize abrupt movements or vibrations. This stability allows Loomo to not only capture higher quality video but also better assess its surroundings and establish computer vision.

Driven by cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning technology, Loomo's visual system consists of an object Detection and Tracking System (DTS) and a Human Understanding System (HUS):
- By incorporating detection and tracking techniques with high accuracy and efficiency, DTS enables Loomo to perceive its surroundings and track moving objects simultaneously (including people and pets),serving as the foundation for many other applications.

What is Loomo?
Loomo is your very first mobile robot sidekick and mini personal transporter that could bring you around and follow you both indoor and outdoor.
Why are you launching an indiegogo campaign?
After two years of research and development efforts, we are launching this product to the global market targeting early-adopters and innovators, who are enthusiastic about new technologies and would like to try new things out. With 15 million monthly active users, indiegogo is clearly the best platform, where we can find you, the innovators, to test out our personal robot, and grow with us together.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Can I put my bag on Loomo?
Loomo was not specifically designed for this purpose, although it's such a popular feature that many people put their bags on Loomo during testing. Our recommendation is to put your bag on the footstep of Loomo and avoid blocking the sensors in the center of its body so that Loomo will not lose track of you when following.
How do we ride it?
It's easy and safe to ride Loomo! Loomo will teach you how to ride it step by step using its voice. We also have a detailed explanation on how to ride Loomo on the Information Guide.
How does the hardware extension bay work?
The extension bay contains a standard USB 2.0 host, and a 24 volt power supply with 1A limit. For additional information please refer to the developer SDK website at http://developer.segwayrobotics.com/
Is riding Loomo legal in my city and can I ride Loomo in the street?
Laws concerning motor vehicles vary from state to state, so be sure to check your local and state laws to see if there are any restrictions on riding self-balancing transporters in public areas.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Safety should be paramount. We would recommend wearing a helmet, even if your state laws does not require it. Loomo is not responsible for injuries, please be safe while you ride.

What's the maximum speed of Loomo?
8km/h (4.3 mph) in robot mode, 18km/h (11 mph).
What are the technical details behind Loomo's following feature?
Loomo is equipped with a built-in, powerful Intel RealSense camera, which can detect an object in 3 dimensions. Developers can first use the Detection and Tracking system (DTS) in the Vision SDK to visually detect and track a person. They can then make Loomo follow the person using the MiniController in the Locomotion SDK. For more details please check our developers page at http://developer.segwayrobotics.com/
How long will it take for battery charging till full?
On average it can be charged full within 3 hours.
How much weight can Loomo handle?
Loomo’s weight capacity can handle up to 220lbs. (100 kg).
ABOUT THE APP
How do I connect with Loomo?
You can connect with Loomo through two modes: Wi-Fi mode and Hotspot mode. For Wi-Fi mode, you can connect your mobile device to Loomo by joining the same Wi-Fi network, while for Hotspot mode you can connect your mobile device to Loomo by utilizing Loomo's hotspot.
Loomo can also connect with other devices using Bluetooth 4.1, for example you can connect your robot with bluetooth speakers etc.
For developers, you can connect Loomo with your computer using USB 3.0 Type-C on the head of Loomo and develop applications for it, just like developing apps for Android smartphones

When does shipping begin?
Loomo will begin shipping in May 2018, and will continue through the summer. Orders will be shipped sequentially.
Which countries will Loomo ship to?
We are able to ship Loomo to the United States.

What is your refund policy?
Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis; at some point we will need to lock refunds in order to go into production & shipment. We will not be able to refund orders once they've shipped.
What is your return / exchange policy?
Return and exchange are processed on a case-by-case basis. If you find your Loomo defective and unable to operate as expected, please first review our limited warranty policy at support.loomo.com. If you have further questions, please contact support@loomo.com, and our customer service team will get back to you to further assist you with complimentary technical support.
Please note: since repair and replacement requests will need to be shipped back to us in Loomo’s original packaging, it is recommended that you keep the shipping box.
