Business Summary/History
The initial idea to start a label was conceived years ago by our founder/manager/beat scientist Chace Springborn. The concept for the label developed as we saw a need for upcoming artists to join a team of experienced professionals all dedicated to the same cause. These days record labels aren’t willing to take risks on unestablished artists. We saw that many of our peers had the talent to succeed in the industry but didn’t have the right team behind them. We saw artists locked into contracts that robbed them not only of their money but also their creative control. These experiences are what molded our philosophy. We are a label that provides loyalty, freedom and passionate dedication to artists that we believe have the raw talent and drive to make an impact on the culture. Later on we had the idea to not only work for the artist, but to educate artists so that they can begin to work for themselves. Education is a crucial part of our company. We’ve all been lucky enough to have the resources to learn about the industry and we feel that it is our responsibility to pay that forward. As a band, over the past year we've been striving to create the scene in Boston that we wish to thrive in. We host hip hop nights every second Thursday at the Middle East, booking local artists that we believe are making an impact on the culture. We hope that through this company and our artistic output we can put Boston on the map and set a higher bar for every other record company.
The Impact
We genuinely believe that the vision we have for this company will change the way that the music industry values art and the artists who give so much to us. In this day in age the traditional standards that record companies operate under are quite frankly outdated and contribute negatively to the culture. Record companies would rather minimize their risk by bleeding already well established artists of their revenue and creative vision than provide loyalty and dedication to artists that can revolutionize the culture and make a difference in the world. We know that it's time for a change. Our company is not about making millions but rather about shaking up the music industry and making a positive impact on our culture in the time that we have in this world. We know that this won't be an easy road, but we believe with hard work and passion it is achievable. On a more day to day basis we hope to inspire upcoming artists by providing discounted lessons for underprivileged kids in the Boston area. We’ve been incredibly fortune to be able to attend music schools and participate in outstanding music programs. One of our main goals is to foster creativity and technique in the next generation of artists. We hope that this will be a lasting legacy left by of our company.
