MAD BOB, FROM BELFAST.
Welcome to the MAD BOB funding page! This project has been in development since April, and we're now finally ready to shift through the gears, with shooting locked in for September.
THE STORY.
Based on a true story, our film is set in 1970s London and follows the narrative of a young teacher (Bob) from Belfast who's invited to come and meet a notorious local gangster.
After remaining calm throughout an intensive interrogation, Bob discovers the gangster's true motive... which is to assess him as a potential suitor for his daughter.
Little does he know that Mad Bob is in fact an undercover police officer...
A PERIOD FILM.

FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN.
By giving ourselves a generous pre-production period, we have ensured all due care and consideration has been taken at the planning stage. Developing a project from script all the way through to festival release is a long and daunting process, but each of us have worked in the film industry for a number of years and are experienced enough to match the challenge.

OUR COMMITMENT.
Writer/Director - Michael Wilson:
"Thank you for taking the time to visit our page! This project is particularly resonant for me as it's based on my dad's experience whilst teaching juvenile offenders in the 1970s. Unusual and humourous, the narrative shines a fresh light on a world which has always fascinated me, namely London's criminal underworld."
PRODUCERS - Archie Pearch, Fraser Rigg & Peregrine Kitchener-Fellowes:
"We're excited by Mike's vision for this piece, and we believe the final film will be punchy, captivating and memorable. Many key crew members and locations are already in place, it's clear that this project is going to be exciting to be a part of!"
