Summary

Hi, my name is Simon. I've been a games developer for many years and this involves using a lot of different Windows software and keeping track of lots of different files and projects. Through all my years using Windows I often wondered how much time I was actually wasting by constantly searching for files, going back and forth between programs and remembering all those shortcut keys for different applications. It may only be half an hour a day but when you add that up over the weeks and months it's a lot of time wasted. That's where the idea of Makross came about..

What Is Makross?

Makross is a Windows popup menu that can be summoned at any time from an easy to remember hotkey.  It's a menu that can be fully (and quickly) customized to contain all your shortcut links to files, folders etc. Not only that, but it also has lots of other functionality too including ; hotkeys, automatic program detection, macros, clip tray functionality, customization, folder/command set management and more!

It's there when you need it, and hidden when you don't.

I firmly believe that Makross is a game changer for how people use windows in any profession. With Makross teams and individuals will become much more productive!

What Is The Current State Of Makross ?

Makross has been released on Steam into early access and already has had some great reviews and feedback from users. However, in order to fully launch the product there are several improvements I wish to add. I also want to get more exposure and to receive more feedback from users.

What is The Funding For?

Here is what I need the funding for..

• I have a bunch of features already that Beta users have requested that would be great to be implemented. With extra funding we can implement many of these. Without funding, adding features is just not viable. Some of these features include:
  • Additional Macro functionality
  • Additional language support
  • General usage and functionality improvements
• I'd love to be able to put some money into marketing. The more sales we get, the more we can continue to develop features for Makross. In a world where it's hard to be heard this is a big challenge.

The Impact

I believe that Makross could and should be used in every workplace that uses Windows. If enough people knew about it and tried it, they would see how much time it really saves. By supporting this project you would be helping everyone to be much more productive!

Risks & Challenges

There aren't really any risks. Makross could theoretically be launched 'as is' but a successful funding campaign allows us to improve on an already quality product.

The only real challenge is in how to correctly spend the marketing budget for the biggest impact. (Any help or guidance is most welcome here)
