Help us make the first independent gay feature film in the Welsh language by paying for our camera!
Although we've reached our £5,000 goal - every extra penny will help us make this exciting project! Thanks for your support! Diolch!
The film begins when 8-year old Mali discovers an angel in a field.
The angel turns out to be Al, a man
reeling from the sudden death of his partner. Mali and her mother Carys
give Al shelter and set about trying to fix him.
As Al
recovers from his loss he transforms the lives of mother and
daughter.
He quite literally brings magic to Mali's life by teaching her
how to perform magic tricks and Mali goes from being the most
bullied girl at school to the most popular. Al also transforms
Carys's failing dairy business and turns it around by producing gourmet
ice-cream.
Together Al, Carys and Mali form an
unorthodox family. Their happiness is threatened however by the
prospect of a new love-affair for Al that forces him to face the circumstances
of his partner's death and his role in it.
Ultimately Al must decide whether he
can stay on the farm with Mali and Carys or return to his old life in London.
'Maldod' is an intimate and sensitive film about
three very different individuals who unexpectedly find happiness on a dairy
farm in west Wales.

'Maldod' is written by award winning writer Roger Williams and will be directed by award winning director Lee Haven Jones during the summer of 2015 in west Wales.
Both Roger and Lee have extensive experience of making television drama but this is their first feature film. They both have a passion for making high quality drama and feel there aren't enough feature films made in Welsh.
Whether you simply have a passion for film, gay cinema or want to help get another Welsh feature film to cinema screens around the world, we ask you to make a contribution to the project.
We are optimistic that 'Maldod' will be chiefly financed from traditional sources but our funding structure allows for £10,000 of the budget to be raised in donations by private individuals.
We think there's something exciting about investing in a project like this and we hope you agree.
Depending on the level of your investment you may receive a range of benefits including a copy of the completed film on DVD, tickets to a screening, a digital download of the soundtrack and a credit at the end of the film for your support.
If we don't reach our entire goal, the monies raised from this campaign will go towards the further development of the film and the business of raising extra finance to make certain 'Maldod' gets made.
Spread the word!
If you like the sound of 'Maldod' and what we're trying to achieve we ask you to use the Indiegogo share tools to tell your friends about the project.
