Since conceiving of the film early this summer, I’ve put together a small, dedicated production team experienced in Film Production, Editing, Media Promotion and Information Technology. In just 5 months, we've already put over 350 hours into planning and researching the story, as well as shooting our first three interviews with Maritime musicians.
I spent nearly 10 years in the 2000s running a Music Label and Promotion organization, releasing Maritime Metal albums and setting up concerts. The Metal scene was a big part of my 20s and like many of you, I found being so deeply involved in it was a great time. For a lot of you, it still is! Now it's time to show the world how great Maritime Metal bands and fans really are, by taking part in making this film a reality.
What We Need
Our budget needed to cover Travel, Equipment, and all other Production Cost is $30K. But just as important, we need your participation and contribution of Footage and Photos. So please share and send us what you've got so we have all the footage we need to tell a visually compelling history of the Maritime Metal scene.

Risks & Challenges
Our main risk is spending considerable time and money traveling from Montreal to the Maritimes. We'll be recording many, many interviews with key players in the Metal community. For us, this means paying for travel, food, lodging, film permits, and more.
The second hurdle we need to overcome is the cost of mastering, promoting and releasing the film and soundtrack on a physical medium. We'll need to pay for printing, shipping, and advertising.
I know we are capable of this. I have released a number of albums, put on over 25 concerts, designed countless posters and album artworks as well as created many websites while I was part of the Maritime Metal scene. With your crowdfunding support, we'll raise the budget to complete the film.
