The Story -
“Mark and Steve vs the woods” is the story of two struggling script writers trying to finish the first draft of their very first feature film. The two men unable to focus long enough to finish the script before it’s deadline, decide to go away for the weekend to finish it.
Steve, the leader of the two, arranges for a run down cabin in the middle of the woods for them to stay at. With no internet and totally isolated Steve feels this is the perfect environment for him and Mark to buckle down and write without interruptions.
A long drive out of the city, through the boonies and into the deep woods, Mark and Steve arrive at the ramshackle cottage. Equipped with a generator to power lights and laptops the boys set to work. However, boredom and mental distractions abound and Mark decides to alter the monotony with a stroll through the picturesque forest. On his walk he manages to run afoul of a pair of Wood Nymphs, frolicking in a darkened clearing. Believing Mark and his compatriot are trespassing on hallowed ground, the Wood Nymphs unleash a vengeful and ancient beast.
The beast tracks Mark back to the cabin where it begins stalking both writers, intent on maiming them and eliminating them from its wooded home. Now, armed with nothing more than knick-knacks, these two hapless boobs are forced to contend with with Wood Nymphs, the beast, and the very woods around them, all the while making sure to finish their screenplay.
