Hello!
My name is Tim Mattson. I'm a filmmaker and the organizer behind the Hudson Valley Filmmakers Meetup Group.
This is my first "real" short film experience that requires auditioning, acquiring set locations, building sets, and working with a top notch filmmaker! Our goal is to take this great script and translate it to the big screen.
You can help us by checking out the perks and contributing what you can! We only need a limited amount of funding to pull off this festival bound short film. What better way than with you attached to it in the credits!
We Need This & In Return You'll Get:
We need $6000 to complete our short film "Marrow". This is going to pay for additional rental gear (Steadicam, a 2nd Nikon D800, 2x ATOMOS Ninja 2s, Lenses, & HMIs), renting a wrecked car, a cop car rental, police uniform rental, costumes, makeup artist, prop rental, locations, craft services for each day of the shoot, and travel to make it all happen.
Our perks range from the most basic support to you becoming our Executive Producer. We'll be making original movie posters, Blu-Ray DVDs, and screen printed t-shirts for Marrow. We're trying to get a well known artist to do the artwork for the poster, DVD sleeve, and t-shirts to make them more collectible. At the $250 level you'll get invited to our wrap party dinner and you can even be in our movie. Those who can afford $500 and up will be treated to a limited edition movie sculpture!
If we don't reach our $6000 goal we'll use whatever we can get to make it happen!
The Marrow of Our Story:
Our short post-apocalyptic morality tale is a powerful look at "what could happen" if society collapses. Our tale pushes us to do our best to not let everything fall apart, for our children's sake.
I've had a successful track record with my film and video projects. My short documentary The Tutu Fairy garnered awards on the festival circuit and my short comedy films have won festivals, contests and have played on Comedy Central. I'm planning on making Marrow the best short film I've done to date, with your help!
