Short Summary
Ladies, Gentlemen and all those in-between!
Hello! We are the team behind upcoming short film 'Maude Clare' -
- Small group of filmmakers from fabulous Norwich! working on their latest cinematic achievement in living colour.
- This film is a passion project from Director Louanne Honey based on the poetry of Christina Rossetti.
- With your kindness and generosity (and any change you can spare) we can make this film as loud and proud as it deserves to be!
- Let's face it, you haven't seen a film like this ever before!
What We Need & What You Get
It's a little known fact, that throwing a wedding on film is as time consuming as planning a wedding. And with your contribution you are cordially invited to the proceedings as well as all their twists turns and curves.
- Small donations will go a long way to helping us realise the film to it's fullest potential -hiring locations, buying costumes and dressing the set all cost but you only need to pitch in what you can.
- The main costs of production will be going into location and production design. All those little flourishes that make a film really snap, crack and pop
- With each milestone we pass, a member of our dedicated crew will don their own drag persona and give a rousing performance!
- Contributors of £10 or more will be given exclusive access to behind the scenes developments from the set and video diaries of proceedings with the director and crew!
- If you really have cash burning a hole in your pocket our biggest donations will receive a souvenir from the set and a free OFFICIAL poster.
- Even if we don't receive all the funds we need for this project, whatever we have wont be wasted. And will be stretched as far as possible to make the film work we believe we can make the best production possible, no matter the cost.
The Impact
- This project is one of many upcoming projects focusing on the world of the LGBTQ+ community. This film aims to introduce the uninitiated to the wonderful world of "drag" and the way we express ourselves through gender and sex,
- In previous years, we've been able to create fantastical worlds from scratch such as our previous films Sweet Tooth and The Chime of Youth (Starring Coronation Street's Matilda Freeman).
- This project means a lot to everyone involved, we are dedicated story tellers and believe this story is one of those that must be told.
Risks and Challenges.
We're aware of the risks involved in a lofty production such as this. Having each worked on 5 films since our time at this university began we are ready and waiting for all challenges and obstacles that come our way.
Filmmakers are problem-solvers at heart and no task is impossible when you're dedicated to telling the best story possible.
The biggest risk for us (as is the risk for any storyteller) is feeling that there is no audience for their work. But with this campaign we will realise there is a dedicated fanbase for work like this.
